| This study took the required part of probability and statistics as an example,from the macro and micro levels(at the micro level,this study compared and analyzed four topics,namely "classical probability","mutual independence of events","sampling method" and "statistical estimation").The longitudinal comparison between Shanghai Education 2020 edition and Shanghai Education 2008 edition shew that the two sets of textbooks are based on different curriculum standards,which can further see the differences and connections between the old and new textbooks.At the same time,A horizontal comparison was made between Shanghai Education 2020 edition and PEP’s Edition(A)(2019).Both sets of textbooks have just been published,and the two editions of textbooks are based on the Curriculum Standard(2017).Studying the similarities and differences between textbooks in different regions under the guidance of the same curriculum standard can provide reference for educators and researchers,and also play a role in advancing with The Times.The research questions were based on the following three starting points:Question 1: What are the differences and connections between the probability and statistics of the Curriculum Standard(2017)and the Standard(2004)? Question 2:What are the differences and connections between probability and statistics(compulsory part)of Shanghai Education 2020 edition and Shanghai Education 2008 edition in terms of overall characteristics,main content and sequence,course arrangement,course requirements and course presentation? Question 3: What are the differences and connections between probability and statistics(compulsory part)of Shanghai Education 2020 edition and PEP’s Edition(A)(2019)in terms of overall characteristics,main content and sequence,course arrangement,course requirements and course presentation?It is found that the main difference between Shanghai Education 2020 edition and Shanghai Education 2008 edition is that the space of probability and statistics in Shanghai Education 2008 edition is far less than that in Shanghai Education 2020 edition.Shanghai Education 2020 edition has higher learning requirements for students than the old textbooks in terms of probability and statistics.In terms of probability,Shanghai Education 2020 edition focuses on students’ ability to express their thinking process in mathematical language,while Shanghai Education 2008 edition pays more attention to basic calculation training.In terms of statistics,Shanghai Education 2020 edition emphasizes real and meaningful statistical activities,while Shanghai Education 2008 edition emphasizes conceptual understanding and formula calculation.Shanghai Education 2020 edition has more contents in information technology and mathematics culture than Shanghai Education 2008 edition.The problem situation of Shanghai Education 2020 edition is closer to students’ life.The main difference between the Shanghai Education 2020 edition and PEP’s Edition(A)(2019)lies in that PEP’s Edition(A)(2019)focuses on the spiral rise of knowledge and is more gradual in the processing of knowledge points details.In terms of probability,the example questions and exercises of Shanghai Education 2020 edition are more difficult,while PEP’s Edition(A)(2019)attaches importance to the understanding of basic knowledge and concepts.In terms of statistics,the learning tasks of PEP’s Edition(A)(2019)have A higher level of knowledge and skills,while the learning tasks of Shanghai Education 2020 edition are not difficult,which aims to allow students to solve real statistical problems around them.Shanghai Education2020 edition has higher requirements for practical operations such as chart making,while PEP’s Edition(A)(2019)has more distinctive exercises and most open questions.Shanghai Education 2020 edition tends to deeply integrate the history of mathematics knowledge into the textbooks,rather than simply present it directly. |
