The Guide for Learning and Development of Children aged 3-6 clearly points out that "we should appropriately introduce the culture of China’s major ethnic groups and feel the diversity of culture to children." The history of more than 5,000 years in China has inherited a lot of very valuable traditional culture.Folk sports games are one of them,which contains the creative wisdom of the ancients,are the precipitation and crystallization of China’s traditional culture,and embodies the rich life experience of the working people.With the development of modernization and globalization,traditional culture is impacted and influenced by foreign culture,and many folk sports games gradually fade away from people’s lives.Folk sports games are rich in content and flexible in forms,which are not only conducive to the development of children’s physical and mental health,but also conducive to children’ s identification,inheritance and development of traditional folk culture.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to carry out folk sports games in kindergartens.Based on the theoretical basis of Johan Huizinga game theory and Chen Heqin playgroups view,by the methods of questionnaire investigation,interview,observation,closely around preschool teachers’ cognition and attitude towards the folk sports games,participate in the development of training situation,the goals,the choice of content,the content of the material conditions and games organization form,The present situation of folk sports games in 11 urban kindergartens in Chengdu was investigated.The survey results show that preschool teachers hold a positive attitude towards the development of folk sports games in kindergartens,but the actual development is not satisfactory.There are mainly four problems as follows :(1)The formulation of folk sports games objectives is unreasonable;(2)The content of folk sports games is not appropriate;(3)Insufficient delivery of folk sports game materials;(4)The organization form of folk sports games is single.The main reasons are as follows: First,the teachers’ understanding of folk sports games is not deep and the ability to develop folk sports games is insufficient;Second,the kindergarten has little input in folk sports game resources and insufficient support for teachers to participate in folk sports game training.In view of the main problems existing in the current folk sports game activities in kindergartens,this study puts forward five optimization strategies: First,to develop reasonable folk sports game goals;Second,choose the appropriate folk sports game content;Third,multi-channel collection of folk sports game resources;Fourth,to enrich the organizational form of folk sports games;Fifth,strengthen the professional training of preschool teachers.Finally,according to the proposed countermeasures,combined with the age characteristics of children in large,middle and small classes,this study developed and designed three programs of folk sports game activities in kindergartens.
