Group Work Intervention Research On The Alleviation Of The Interpersonal Alienation Of The Empty Nest Elderly

Due to the intensified trend of population aging in my country and the prolongation of average life expectancy,the scale of empty nesters is expanding.At this stage,the problem of food and clothing for the empty-nesters has been basically solved.The problems they are currently facing mainly focus on psychological and spiritual aspects.Among them,the problem of interpersonal alienation will have a negative impact on the empty-nesters.If they are not alleviated for a long time,they will also seriously affect the empty-nesters.Physical and mental health of the elderly.Therefore,it is of great social significance to help empty-nest elderly people relieve the sense of interpersonal alienation.Under the support of the dominant perspective and social support theory,this study used the literature research method and observation method to preliminarily understand the current situation of empty nesters.Then,115 elderly people were randomly selected for investigation through interview-style questionnaires,among which 83 were empty nesters and 32 were non-empty nesters.In order to further understand the current situation of interpersonal alienation among the elderly in X community,the interpersonal alienation measurement scale was used to measure the respondents,and the scores of interpersonal alienation of empty nesters and non-empty nesters were compared,and it was found that the interpersonal alienation of empty nesters the average score is higher than that of non-empty-nest elders,which leads to the conclusion that empty-nest elders will have alienation problems in interpersonal aspects.Next,according to the scores of the scale,the service objects were initially screened,and these elderly people were interviewed by semi-structured interview method to understand the reasons for the feeling of interpersonal alienation,A single way of leisure and entertainment leads to spiritual emptiness,and adapting to role transformation leads to a lack of value.Finally,in response to the problem of interpersonal alienation among the empty-nest elderly,social workers mainly use group work methods to intervene and carry out targeted group activities from the perspective of social work.On this basis,social workers help clients build formal and informal support networks,and finally achieve the goal of alleviating the interpersonal alienation of empty nesters.
