The Kindergarten Education Guideline(for Trial Implementation)states: "Families are important partners of kindergartens. They should seek the understanding, support and active participation of parents based on the principles of respect, equality and cooperation, and actively support and help parents to improve their educational abilities." Early childhood teachers and parents are both important others in the development of 3-6 year olds, and their relationship with them and the way they deal with issues profoundly affects their children’s development. The healthy development of young children is a common goal for both teachers and parents. In the early years of a small group, most parents and children alike experience anxiety about starting school. In addition to this,as each family has different parenting styles, any bad habits developed in the homeschooling of small children will be evident and the development of classroom routines is a major problem facing teachers of small children. At this stage, how to let small children adapt to the collective life of kindergarten as soon as possible, parents feel confident to send their children to kindergarten, and with the small children’s education and teaching work of teachers, effective home communication is particularly important. In the actual work of parents in small classes in kindergartens, parents rely on teachers to guide scientific child-rearing methods, and teachers help parents to solve the confusion in the process of child-rearing,so that both sides of the educational philosophy and educational behaviour to reach a basic common, forming a good home synergy,in order to jointly promote the healthy growth of young children. However, communication between home and school can often be difficult due to differences in positions and educational concepts. This places high demands on teachers. This study uses a qualitative research approach, focusing on the core issue of "effective communication between kindergarten and home in small classes",and uses the interview method to conduct individual interviews with seven teachers(including two principals and one head teacher)and three parents of small children from kindergarten L in Guiyang. The researcher concluded that the communication between teachers and parents of small classes is very effective. The researcher concluded that there are problems in the communication process between teachers and parents of small children, such as the inconsistency of their educational goals, the lack of trust of parents in teachers and the lack of in-depth communication channels. The premise and basis of effective communication between teachers and parents, firstly, teachers should be clear about the meaning of home work, their own role in home work, clear that the healthy growth and development of young children is the starting point of all our work, the meaning of home work is also to promote the growth and development of young children. In order to make the communication between home and family smoother,we need to establish a home communication environment of mutual understanding and trust in advance. There are several ways to establish a trusting home environment: reaching a common parenting philosophy with parents before starting school, setting goals for parents and leading them to work with the kindergarten, giving parents a deeper understanding of kindergarten life, and taking the initiative to improve communication and increase parents’ trust in teachers. At the same time, teachers need to improve their communication skills and be prepared to communicate.Firstly, teachers need to gain a deeper understanding of the developmental aspects of a small group of children who are new to kindergarten.Teachers need to be aware of their children’s development when they first start school, and to support this with pictures and videos,so that parents can trust and recognise them when communicating with them.At the same time, teachers need to understand the family background of the child’s upbringing and the parents’ parenting philosophy,so that they can understand the parents’ misconceptions about parenting and then give them scientific knowledge about parenting through effective communication strategies, thus helping them to overcome their misconceptions.Teachers can provide parents with useful parenting tips by organising parent training, and can offer specific parenting advice to parents in communication.Secondly, teachers need to master the art of communication.Firstly, they need to listen patiently, listen to parents’ ideas and demands, learn to empathise, think differently and put themselves in the parents’ shoes to make communication smoother. When communicating with parents, teachers also need to analyse specific situations and adopt different communication strategies according to the different roles and parenting styles of parents. Finally, through the analysis of a real-life case of effective communication between teachers and parents,an in-depth,comprehensive and concrete analysis of effective communication strategies in small classes is presented.
