The Group’s Social Work Involves Employability Guidance Services For Children With Older Disabilities

With the progress of the country and the development of society,more and more people pay more attention and care to the disabled,and take a lot of measures to promote the participation of persons with disabilities in society,whether in employment or education.It can be seen that the employment and education of persons with disabilities are of great concern to all sectors of society.At the same time,promoting community governance at the moment is one of the country’s important development tasks,and special people such as disability are an important part of it.In order to promote the development and integration of young people,Z City District erqi has purchased the "Support for Troubled Minors" project through the Charity Federation,which mainly provides policy publicity,material assistance,employment assistance,academic education and other services for the needy minors.With the development and advancement of the project,the author found that among the young people with disabilities in old age,their parents are more worried about the future of these children,hoping to have the corresponding employment guidance and help.Therefore,the author at the same time as a social worker,early through a detailed understanding of the erqi district of the disability and other difficult minors basic information and basic needs,these children carried out basic situation and needs of research,found that the elderly disabled children have the need for employment guidance,so with the help of the erqi district "difficult minors support" project for older disabled children to carry out employment guidance group.The main purpose is to develop the potential employment interest of children with older disabilities through the professional methods of group social work,through the use of social support networks and advantageous perspectives,and to help them improve their communication,manual and teamwork skills in the process of the group,and to carry out employment guidance group activities for children with older disabilities for the purpose.The group mainly includes "We First Met," "Competition for Language," "Story Sharing," "We Do Handmade Together," "We Beat the Drums Together," "Skills Show Contest," "Mock Interview-I’m a Winner," and "We’re a Family." With the full description of each group activity,find out the changes and progress of the members in the process of the group,cultivate the interest of the team members,further clarify the direction of employment,enhance the interest in employment,for their employment guidance to make corresponding practical exploration.After eight group activities,the group members were largely trained to be interested in painting and African drums,and in the process found that their social and communication skills improved to some extent,promoting physical coordination and teamwork while participating in African drum classes and performances.The method of working in groups has great practicality and applicability for similar groups to carry out employment services,which can help more special groups to better integrate into our harmonious society and promote social stability and progress.
