In 2021,the newly revised “two laws” provide an opportunity for the development of juvenile justice and social work,and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate in China emphasizes the work of helping and educating minors involved in cases,adhering to the principle of “education as the main focus and punishment as a supplement”,with“education,probation and rescue” as the basic policy.“Education,probation,rescue”as the basic policy.On the one hand,with the continuous improvement and development of the juvenile rehabilitation model in various regions of China,the decrease in the recidivism rate of minors also proves that the effectiveness of the state’s juvenile rehabilitation has improved.On the other hand,in 2022,there were 2197 minors who had received criminal punishment in the prosecutor’s office in China,which indicates that the recidivism of minors is still more frequent.Therefore,how to enhance the social support network of the minors involved in the case and improve their integration in family and school,so that they can better adapt to society and return to society has become an urgent issue to be solved.Judicial social workers who uphold the value of altruism can also pay good attention to the emotional and psychological needs of the minors involved in the case while completing the task of helping them,and in the process of intervention,practice the purpose of helping others to help themselves,so as to help the minors involved in the case to better integrate and adapt to the society and reduce the risk of recidivism.This study is based on the developmental and therapeutic services of “supervision and inspection,observation and education,and psychological guidance ” provided by judicial social workers to minors involved in cases in L city,and is an exploration and innovation of the existing model of education and support in L city.The judicial social workers analyzed the specific situation of the minors involved in the case through participatory observation and case interviews,assessed the support networks of the minors’ families,peer groups and schools,and assessed the social integration difficulties faced by the clients,such as interruption of schooling,parent-child relationship tension,low self-identity and social dislocation,by improving the parent-child relationship,protecting the basic rights and interests of the clients and guiding the clients to establish a correct concept of friendship.We reconstruct the support network of the missing parts.By strengthening the power of family and peer groups to provide informal support for minors involved in cases,their emotional needs can be met and they can have strong emotional support when facing many difficulties.By linking to the support of schools and the judiciary,they are able to protect their basic educational rights and interests,and to better understand themselves,society,and the diversity of the world so that they can better integrate into society.In this study,the Social Support Scale,the Fangshuren Assessment and the Family Environment Scale were used to measure the changes in the support systems of the minors involved in the case before and after,to verify the usefulness and shortcomings of the judicial social work help services.It was found that interventions on the individual characteristics,upbringing environment,and social support network of the juvenile involved in the case through social support theory to enhance the social support network of the juvenile involved in the case can enhance their ability to integrate into society in order to help the juvenile involved in the case solve the social integration problem,so as to better return to society,adapt to society,and reduce the risk of recidivism.
