| In recent years,the suicide incidents of college students occurred frequently.The increasingly serious suicide incidents of college students have become a public health problem that seriously affects the normal life of teachers and students in colleges and universities,and has attracted high attention from the society.The college stage is the golden stage of young people’s life development,and it is very important to prevent college students from committing suicide at this stage.In view of this,from the perspective of social work,this paper uses the social support theory and the method of group social work to intervene college students with suicidal ideation.The aim is to improve the emotional and instrumental social support level of college students with suicidal ideation,so as to eliminate or reduce their suicidal ideation and reduce the occurrence of suicidal behavior.In this paper,by using the Suicide Ideation Self-Rating Scale(SIOSS)and Social Support Rating Scale(SRSS)to measure the clients,and combined with the relevant group interview assessment,it is concluded that the clients have suicidal ideation due to the low level of social support.Based on the demands of the service objects for self-change,the author established a professional relationship with the service objects.In full consideration of the actual situation of the service objects,eight group activities were designed to improve the social support level of the service objects in four stages,hoping to eliminate the suicidal ideation of the service objects and improve their physical and mental health level.The first stage is the formation period of the group,which is mainly to let the members get familiar with each other,sign group contracts with the service objects,and complete the "ice-breaking".The second stage is the transition period of the group,mainly from cognition,emotion,interpersonal communication and other aspects to enhance the service object’s internal emotional social support;In the second stage of intervention,the level of affective social support of the service object is improved mainly by correcting the irrational belief of the service object,learning the ABC theory of emotion,mastering the method of obtaining positive emotional support,and improving the interpersonal skills of the service object.The third stage is the maturity stage of the group,which is mainly to improve the external instrumental social support of the service objects from the aspects of economy,study and employment.In the third stage of intervention,the level of instrumental social support of the service object is improved by cultivating the quality of independence of the service object,establishing the correct learning motivation and attitude,and correctly formulating the career plan suitable for oneself.The fourth stage is the end of the group,mainly to assist the clients to give vent to their parting emotions reasonably,and to close the case and other related matters.According to the group activity satisfaction questionnaire and team member interview feedback,the intervention effect of the group work is good.At the end of the group activity,the author signed a non-self-harm agreement with the client.Finally,through the evaluation of the process and results of group work,the author demonstrates that improving the emotional and instrumental social support level of college students with suicidal ideation is effective and feasible to eliminate the suicidal ideation of college students,indicating that social support theory can effectively guide social workers to intervene in college students’ suicidal ideation. |
