Abstract/Summary:
Education is the great plan of the country and the foundation of people’s livelihood, and the hope of thousands of families. With the increasingly fierce social competition, learning involution is serious, which gives birth to parents’ "education anxiety".Parents’ anxiety problems not only affect the harmony and happiness of the family, but also have a negative impact on children. So parental education anxiety is a social problem that cannot be underestimated.academic and practical areas need to raise the level of parental education anxiety. In this study, taking an anxious parent of a junior high school student as a case,in the process of exploring the educational attitude of the case,it was found that the anxiety of the client was mainly manifested in three aspects: the interaction between children’s learning, future development and parent-child education, and the case had typical irrational beliefs(such as: should,must,must,etc.).In view of the client’s situation, social workers use rational emotional behavior therapy as a guide to intervene in parental education anxiety from three aspects: cognitive, emotional and behavioral. At the cognitive level, help clients be aware of their irrational thinking patterns, and use therapeutic techniques such as Socratic questioning techniques,REBT self-help forms, acceptance methods, and reading books to help clients correct irrational beliefs and rebuild correct educational concepts; At the emotional level, help clients recognize the adverse effects of negative emotions, cultivate positive emotions, learn to manage emotions, and guide children to learn emotional expression; At the behavioral level, the client learns effective communication and children’s education guidance mainly by involving fathers in children’s education, learning to communicate with adolescent children and accompanying children to learn and grow together. Finally, through the summary and reflection of the service cases, the following conclusions are drawn: the use of rational emotional behavior therapy to intervene in parental education anxiety has a significant effect, cognition, emotion and behavior are interdependent processes,in the intervention process, both have their own emphasis, but also coordinate with each other,at the same time, the service combines formal rational emotional behavior therapy and informal social support means, intervenes from the individual level and family level, pays attention to the service target and family to change together, and let the two promote each other. It can maintain and consolidate the effect of changing the target audience.Based on this feasibility and effectiveness of practice, this paper provides an exploratory application in the field of social work for parent educational anxiety intervention.
