| Teaching ancient poetry bears the burden of transmitting the culture and spirit of the nation,and integrating traditional culture education in teaching can foster students’ sense of Chinese cultural identity.For a long time,examination-oriented teaching methods have led teachers to focus more on students’ recitation of ancient poems and mimeography,weakening students’ ability to interpret poetic texts,so the current situation of teaching ancient poetry in junior secondary schools is not optimistic.In their ongoing practical research,literary theorists and front-line language teachers have adopted the method of close reading of texts with a view to contributing to the teaching of ancient poetry.This article will be discussed in the following four parts:In the first part,the introduction focuses on the background and significance of textual close reading,relevant concepts about textual close reading,the current status of research at home and abroad,as well as the methodology and expected objectives of this thesis.The second part is a survey and analysis of the current situation of the use of the textual reading method in the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high school,summarising the problems and analysing the causes of the current teaching of ancient poetry in junior high school.The analysis reveals that the problems of students mainly include their lack of interest in learning ancient poetry,their low accumulation of knowledge,their lack of appreciation of ancient poetry,and their poor self-reflective ability,which prevents them from making perceptive sublimations.The problems of teachers include insufficient knowledge of the textual reading method,superficiality of the textual reading of ancient poems,non-aesthetic teaching,and teachers’ insufficient knowledge reserves and over-reliance on teaching materials.The third part of the study examines the feasibility and necessity of applying the textual reading method to the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high school,arguing for the feasibility of applying the textual reading method to the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high school from the perspectives of teaching standards,texts and students’ development,and then from three aspects: it is conducive to fully exploring the core values of the text,it is conducive to cultivating students’ aesthetic sensibilities and improving their language literacy,and it is conducive to enhancing teachers’ teaching and research abilities and promoting the renewal of teaching concepts.The fourth part of the study demonstrates the necessity of applying the textual reading method in the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high schools.The fourth part proposes strategies for the application of close reading in the teaching of ancient poetry,firstly,close reading of texts should follow the principles of wholeness,openness and appropriateness,secondly,close reading of ancient poetry from the perspectives of language,imagery and mood,structure and lyricism,etc.Finally,it is clear that in teaching ancient poetry,comparative analysis expands cognition;knowledge of people and the world resonates with emotions;contradictions are restored and imagination is supplemented;texts are questioned and thinking is developed.The method of close reading is combined with examples of close reading analysis of the text.In the appendix,the teaching design of The Charcoal Seller in the unified middle school language textbook is also presented on the basis of the analysis. |
