| College students,as the most dynamic and creative group of the young generation,are builders and strivers to achieve national prosperity and rejuvenation,and their health quality is related to the future of the nation and the country.Our country has also introduced a series of policies to encourage college students to actively participate in physical exercise and improve their physique."Youth sports""13th Five-Year" action plan "clearly proposed to improve the physical quality of students as the core,strengthen the awareness of sports participation,develop lifelong sports habits,in order to promote their physical and mental health.The outline of the Healthy China Development Plan also emphasizes integrating health into the national education system as an important part of the curriculum throughout the education stage to promote the improvement of health levels.In addition,we live in an informationized network society,and the acquisition of information depends on the media.The diversified media audiences can cross the limitations of time and space to obtain more personalized and efficient sports and health information,which suits the college students who are leading the trend of social innovation in the forefront of The Times.In this context,this study uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics and other research methods to explore whether media use of Xi ’an college students has an impact on their self-perceived health and whether the effect is significant,and whether sports participation as a mediating variable has an intermediary effect.Based on the theory of use and satisfaction and the theory of knowledge,trust and action,914 valid questionnaires out of 945 questionnaires were selected as data sources for this study.Media use was selected as the independent variable,self-perceived health as the dependent variable,and sports participation as the mediating variable.Based on CGSS2013 media Use Scale,physical activity rating Scale,five-part European Health Scale and three maturity scales formulated by Renmin University of China,the study data were re-assigned and calculated.After analyzing the relevant data with the methods of factor analysis and mediating effect test,this paper reveals the influence of media use on the self-perceived health of college students in Xi ’an and how sports participation plays a mediating role.Based on the above analysis process,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Through the research,we find that demographic characteristics have certain effects on media use,self-perceived health and sports participation.According to the questionnaire data,male Xi ’an college students are more willing to participate in sports.Meanwhile,the calculated BMI,political status and disposable income are also positively correlated with media use,self-perceived health and sports participation.(2)Media use of college students in Xi ’an has significant influence on their selfperceived health.The longer and higher the frequency of media use,the better the perceived health.The explosive development of media makes Xi ’an college students walk in various kinds of media for a long time.The more frequently the media are used,the wider the range of sports and health information will be,which is more conducive to the improvement of their self-perceived health state.(3)Media use of Xi’an college students has a significant impact on their sports participation and sports participation of Xi ’an college students also has a significant impact on their selfperceived health.According to the mediating effect test,sports participation has a complete mediating effect between media use and self-perceived health.As a bridge between media use and self-perceived health,sports participation plays an important role in promoting it.(4)Different sports media use has different effects on the selfperceived health of college students in Xi ’an.Among the influences on the selfperceived health of college students in Xi ’an,sports new media has the most significant correlation.The more frequent the use of sports new media,the better the self-perceived health,while sports broadcasting has a negative impact on the selfperceived health,and cannot effectively promote the improvement of their selfperceived health.Based on the above research,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)Colleges and universities can use their official media to publicize more health knowledge and enhance sports participation to improve their physical fitness.(2)It can set up relevant compulsory or elective online courses to strengthen the ideological consciousness of college students to exercise their own,health and self.(3)The school canteen opens a diet window matching the sports participants,and teachers can choose how to efficiently use the functions of the corresponding sports APP for teaching. |
