| In recent years,the level of physical activity of Chinese children and teenagers shows a decreasing trend,and the lack of physical exercise of children and teenagers becomes a serious challenge facing the compulsory education stage.To this end,the state has successively issued a number of important documents,such as the Opinions on Further Reducing the Burden of Homework and After-School Training for Students in Compulsory Education and the Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Physical Education and Promoting the Healthy Development of Adolescents,in order to improve the physical health of children and adolescents.Research shows that family factors have a profound influence on children and teenagers’ physical exercise.Therefore,this paper takes the influence of family socioeconomic status on children’s and adolescents’ continuous participation in extracurricular sports as the research object,and introduces two mediating variables,parents’ physical activity behavior and parents’ perceived interest in exercise,to explore the influence mechanism of family socioeconomic status on children’s and adolescents’ continuous participation in extracurricular sports.This study adopted a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,based on the health belief theory,intergenerational transmission theory and family investment theory,and selected family socioeconomic status as the independent variable,children’s and adolescents’ continuous participation in extracurricular sports as the dependent variable,and parents’ sports behavior and parents’ perceived interest in exercise as the intermediary variable.The mechanism model of the influence of family socioeconomic status on children’s and teenagers’ continuous participation in extracurricular sports was constructed.The parents of children and teenagers who had participated in extracurricular sports activities in Wuhan were taken as the investigation objects,and the questionnaire was designed based on the previous maturity scale.To investigate the influence of family socioeconomic status,parents’ sports behavior and parents’ perceived benefits of exercise on children and adolescents’ continuous participation in extracurricular sports and to what extent,SPSS26.0 and AMOS23.0 software were used for statistical analysis of the data,and relevant research hypotheses in the model were tested.Conclusions: 1)Family socioeconomic status has a significant positive impact on children’s continued participation in extracurricular sports.2)Parents’ sports behavior and parents’ perceived benefits of exercise have positive effects on children’s and adolescents’ continuous participation in extracurricular sports.3)Family socioeconomic status has a positive effect on parents’ physical activity and perceived benefits of exercise.4)Parents’ sports behavior and perceived benefits of exercise mediate the relationship between family’s socioeconomic status and children’s continued participation in extracurricular sports.5)Sample characteristics,such as whether the only child or not and family structure,have differences in the study variables.Suggestions: 1)Targeted extra-curricular sports "targeted poverty alleviation" is the foundation.2)Supportive parental physical behavior is motivation.3)Understanding the benefits of parental awareness exercise is the key.4)A supportive physical environment at home is the guarantee. |
