| With the development of the times, news plays an increasingly important role in daily life, and how to strengthen the teaching of news works is a common concern in the academic community. The existing research on news works is mostly explained from a theoretical perspective, lacking attention and exploration from a practical perspective. This study follows a mixed research paradigm, using questionnaire survey and interview methods to investigate the "current situation of teaching news works",and objectively attributing it based on empirical research data.Faced with these practical problems and reasons, the study introduces cross media reading methods, analyzes their relevance, feasibility, and basic principles in teaching news works, and formulates specific implementation strategies.Research has found that the current teaching of news works faces severe challenges.Specifically,it is manifested as a cognitive bias in literary style,a focus on language appreciation and emotional comprehension in teaching content, and a neglect of the practicality of the work;Emphasizing information acceptance, the teaching method is mainly based on lectures, lacking student criticism, making it difficult to effectively distinguish between objective facts and subjective feelings;Teaching is disconnected from reality, and teaching concepts ignore the times and fail to pay attention to students’ media literacy; There is an interference effect in the classroom, which makes it difficult for teachers to effectively integrate multiple media and affects teaching effectiveness. The reason for these problems is that the current assessment system places too much emphasis on other literary genres, teachers lack news knowledge training, and the teaching methods provided in teaching reference books are relatively outdated. At the same time,it is also related to the enormous academic pressure faced by teachers. The combination of cross media reading and news works teaching can effectively solve the above problems. From the perspective of appropriateness, this combination is in line with the development trend of "Internet plus",focusing on the core literacy of Chinese, which can effectively improve students’ reading ability and make up for their lack of thinking development. From a feasibility perspective, existing academic research provides a theoretical basis for the combination of the two,and the active participation of schools and teachers in curriculum reform also provides technical support and talent foundation. The integration of the two should also refer to the following principles: firstly, the principle of cross integration, that is,when using media, attention should be paid to the integration between media; The second is the principle of prioritizing literary style, which means that media is only an auxiliary means, and teaching should still be based on the Chinese language standard; The third principle is interactive dialogue, which means that teaching should focus on interaction and communication.Based on the above analysis, specific strategies are proposed: firstly, accurately grasp the characteristics of media and news genres, and determine teaching objectives from four aspects:language, thinking, aesthetics, and culture;Secondly, based on practicality, organize teaching content, fully tap into the characteristics of the selected text, and introduce cross media reading methods such as retrieval reading to improve the reading methods of news works;Thirdly, utilizing media resources to critically reproduce news works, guiding students to analyze the unique expression styles in various media platforms and media texts, and improving students’ thinking quality through comprehensive training such as comparative reading and conversion of reading and writing;Fourthly, improve the evaluation model, construct different evaluation standards based on different teaching content and news activities, use "media platforms" to expand the evaluation subject, achieve multi-dimensional and multimodal evaluation, and play the diagnostic function of evaluation. |
