| Object: Good willpower is of great significance for the growth and success of college students.The formation and development of willpower cannot be separated from the practice of life and the guidance of education.Church,diligence,and regular competition "are the guiding requirements of the Ministry of Education for the reform of school physical education.Sports competitions,with their confrontational,arduous,and complex characteristics,have become one of the important ways to cultivate the willpower and character of college students.Against the background of the practice and exploration of the physical education curriculum reform at Central North University,this study focuses on the impact of sports competitions on the willpower of college students.1000 students from Central North University were selected for investigation and research,with the aim of analyzing and demonstrating the impact of sports competitions on willpower,determining whether sports competitions are an effective means and method for achieving willpower education,and providing theoretical basis for the implementation of the reform of the physical education teaching mode at Central North University,Provide reference and inspiration for the reform of physical education in other universities.Research methods: By using the methods of literature review,expert interviews,questionnaires,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,this paper explores the impact of sports competitions on the will quality of college students.Firstly,by reviewing relevant literature,the background of sports competition and willpower quality is sorted out;Secondly,methods such as questionnaire surveys and expert interviews were used to understand the participation of college students in sports competitions,collect data on their willpower traits,and analyze and organize them.It mainly involves dimensions such as different levels of participation,different events,and different genders of participation.On this basis,the data was organized and analyzed,and the following results and conclusions were drawn.Results:(1)There was a significant difference between the willpower of college athletes and that of non sports majors(P=0.000<0.05);(2)There were significant differences in the total score of willpower quality and four dimensions of consciousness,independence,decisiveness,and resilience among college students of different levels of participation(adj.p<0.05);(3)College students from different participating events showed significant differences in the three dimensions of willpower,namely consciousness,decisiveness,and resilience(adj.p<0.05);(4)College students of the same level of participation and different genders did not show significant differences in the total score of willpower and the dimensions of consciousness,independence,and resilience(P>0.05).Among them,for college students who did not participate but exercised and those who did not participate and did not exercise,there was a significant difference in the decisive dimension of willpower between genders(P<0.05);(5)College students of the same gender and different levels of participation showed significant differences in overall willpower and its four dimensions of consciousness,independence,decisiveness,and resilience(adj.p<0.05).Conclusions:(1)Sports competitions are an effective means of educating college students’ willpower and character.(2)The level of college student athletes’ will quality is higher than that of ordinary college students who are not majoring in sports,which indicates that college student athletes have better consciousness,independence,decisiveness and tenacity,and participation in sports competitions plays a certain role in strengthening the level of college students’ will quality.(3)As the level of participation increases,the requirements for willpower become higher,and the confrontation becomes more intense,resulting in a more significant effect on the education of willpower among college students.(4)The impact of sports competitions on the willpower of college students shows differences between events,therefore,targeted cultivation of college students’ willpower can be based on the characteristics of sports competitions.(5)For college students with the same participation experience,the impact of sports competitions on willpower does not show gender differences.(6)For college students of the same gender,the impact of sports competitions on willpower shows differences between participating experiences.Overall,with the improvement of the competition level,male and female college students have different improvements in various dimensions and overall levels of willpower. |
