The main living place of students in junior high school is school,and school adaptation is of great significance to junior high school students’ development.The family is an important place for individual socialization,and its full function is conducive to the healthy physical and mental development of junior high school students.To investigate the mechanisms of emotional resilience and social intelligence in family function and school adjustment of junior high school students,515 junior high school students in a middle school in Weifang City,Shandong Province,and Mudanjiang City,Heilongjiang Province,were surveyed by using the Family Assessment Device,School Adaptation Inventory for Junior Students,Adolescent Emotional Resilience Questionnaire,and the Social Intelligence Scale for Middle School Students as the research tools and the whole group sampling method.The results of the study were also analyzed using SPSS 22.0 for data analysis.The results of this study are shown below:Family functioning,emotional resilience,social intelligence,and school adjustment were all at moderate to high levels,with significant differences in some demographic variables.There are significant positive correlations between family functioning and school adjustment,emotional resilience,and social intelligence;between school adjustment and emotional resilience and social intelligence;and between emotional resilience and social intelligence in junior high school students.Emotional resilience plays a partially mediating role between family functioning and school adjustment.Social intelligence partially mediated the relationship between family functioning and school adjustment.Emotional resilience and social intelligence play a mediating role between family functioning and school adjustment.All three pathways had significant mediating effects.And based on this,targeted recommendations are made to improve the school adjustment level of middle school students.
