Students entering high school are facing independent living and learning,and at the same time,they have various social adaptation problems,such as poor interpersonal relationships,maladjustment,escapism,depression,loneliness,and irritability.These problems not only affect their physical and mental health.Health has a great impact,and it is not conducive to their better adaptation and integration into society.Therefore,the social adaptation ability of high school students needs to be strengthened urgently.Previous studies have found that emotional intelligence has a greater impact on social adaptation.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to comprehensively investigate the current situation of emotional intelligence and social adaptability of high school students,to explore the characteristics of the two and the influence factors of emotional intelligence on social adaptability,and to intervene the emotional intelligence of high school students to explore effective Possibility of improving the social adaptability of high school students.Researchers selected three different types of high schools(provincial key high schools,municipal ordinary high schools,and county ordinary high schools)in Kunming,Yunnan and Qiannan,Guizhou.The "Emotional Intelligence Scale" and "Social Adaptability Diagnostic Scale" conducted a questionnaire survey on 498 high school students and conducted intervention counselling on 40 high school students.Through the analysis of the survey data,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)The characteristics of the emotional intelligence of high school students found that the emotional intelligence of high school students is at a moderately high level.Studies of gender differences show that girls' emotional ability is significantly higher than that of boys;studies of differences in parents' educational level show that the higher the parents' educational level,the better the emotional and intellectual development of their children;studies of the differences in hukou locations show that the emotions of urban students Perceived and emotional intelligence are significantly higher than students in county and townships;studies of differences in school typesshow that students in provincial key high schools have significantly higher emotional intelligence than students in municipal ordinary high schools and county ordinary high schools;whether differences in student cadres indicate that,Student cadres are significantly higher than non-student cadres in other people's emotional regulation,emotional perception,emotional use and total emotional intelligence scores.There were no significant differences in the variables of single child or not,self-evaluation personality,family type,grade,subject classification,and whether they lived at school.(2)Research on the characteristics of high school students 'social adaptability:The overall level of high school students' social adaptability is poor.Self-assessed personality differences show that extroverted students have significantly higher social adaptability than introverted and mixed students;differences in parental education indicate that the higher the parents' educational level,the better the child 's social adaptability develops;the family Different types of studies show that students with family members have significantly higher skills in dealing with peer relationships than students from two-parent families;studies of differences in the location of household registration show that urban students have self-management skills,learning skills,willingness to express skills,and social adaptability The overall score is significantly better than that of students in counties and towns.The study of the differences in school types shows that the level of social adaptability of students at key provincial high schools is significantly higher than that of students in ordinary high schools at the city and county levels.Self-management skills are significantly better than non-student cadres.There were no significant differences in the variables of gender,whether they were only children,grades,arts and sciences,and whether they lived on campus.(3)The impact of high school students 'emotional intelligence on social adaptability has been found: high school students' emotional intelligence and social adaptability are significantly positively correlated,and emotional intelligence can significantly predict social adaptability.It was found in the stepwise regression analysis that the three dimensions of emotion perception,self-emotion regulation,and emotion application entered the regression equation predicting social adaptation.(4)The results of the intervention study found that the emotional intelligence of the experimental group was significantly improved after the intervention of the emotional intelligence counseling class,indicating that the intervention on the emotional intelligence of high school students was effective.Moreover,while the emotional intelligence of high school students has been effectively improved,their social adaptability has also been enhanced and the effect is good.Based on the results of the above research,the researchers put forward corresponding education countermeasures and suggestions for improving the emotional intelligence and social adaptability of high school students,and based on the influence mechanism of emotional intelligence on social adaptability,explore the effective improvement of high school through emotional intelligence The effectiveness of social adaptation.
