The junior high school stage is a critical period for the ideological change of teenagers,and it is also a critical stage for compulsory education.At present,the dropouts of junior high school students cannot be ignored."Controlling school dropout" is not only to control the number of students in school to meet the standards set by the state,but also to establish an intervention mechanism for potential dropouts from the perspective of improving the school education process and guiding the ideological transformation of students and parents,so as to solve the fundamental problem of "controlling school dropout" from the source.The core quality of the junior high school ethics and legal curriculum is to help junior high school students correctly understand themselves,learn to learn,develop positive psychological qualities,and improve their ability to adapt to society and cope with setbacks.For many reasons,the effectiveness of junior high school ethics and rule of law courses in the process of controlling drop-of-school education is not obvious.Through the research of L Town Junior High School in Weinan City,it is analyzed and summarized in depth that the current lack of effectiveness of junior high school ethics and rule of law courses in controlling dropouts mainly has the following problems: students lack of learning motivation;teachers’ weak awareness of controlling dropouts;teachers and students lack of effective communication;students have emotional indifference;teaching Single evaluation.All of these affect the effectiveness of junior high school ethics and rule of law courses,and even the growth of students.Therefore,this study puts forward targeted countermeasures to improve the effectiveness of junior high school ethics and the rule of law courses in controlling dropouts: changing traditional educational concepts and helping students establish correct values;implementing interest guidance through education reform and control dropouts;strengthening students’ psychological counseling and building harmonious campus relationships;developing and utilizing curriculum resources to strengthen Emotional education;establish a scientific evaluation mechanism and give full play to the effectiveness of positive evaluation.Through in-depth study of junior high school ethics and rule of law courses,carry out practical activities,expand the influence of junior high school ethics and rule of law courses,truly give full play to the ideological value of ideological and political courses to lead the effectiveness,cultivate students’ correct values and learning views,and deeply solve the problem of school dropouts from students’ thoughts.
