| With change of times and the demand for talents,there is a constant reformation and exploration of question designs in College Entrance Examinations.With the introduction of new curriculum standards,new textbooks and new College Entrance Examinations,multiple-choice questions appeared on the stage.Advantages of multiple-choice questions include flexible question designs,wide coverage of knowledge,good embodiment of core competencies of Mathematics and distinct differentiation of students’ levels of ability.It is not long since multiple-choice questions were introduced in new College Entrance Examinations,and related studies are rare to refer to,which makes this study of great significance.Three research questions will be studied in the thesis:1.What problem-solving behavior is displayed in the process of solving multiple-choice questions?2.What functions do multiple-choice questions serve as in the process of students learning Mathematics?3.How can students make use of the benefits of multiple-choice questions in the learning process of Mathematics?Participants of the study,first-grade students(enrolled in 2021)from a key high school in Guiyang,got involved in two rounds of action research.They were required to finish questionnaires and interviewed during the research to learn their learning behaviors,cognitive levels and emotional changes.They were also given standardized tests,and data collected from the tests were analyzed and interpreted.Strategy and advice for answering multiple-choice questions is given based on the result. |
