In this paper, empirical analysis selects CEPS2014-2015 data, establishes multiple linear regression model, and analyzes the substantial influence of peer effect on social integration of migrant children after controlling related influencing factors.According to the difference of household registration between urban and rural areas, groups are divided. While comparing the quality of social integration among different groups,we further explore the urban-rural differences of peer effect on social integration of migrant children and analyze its influence path. Finally, the coefficient clustering method is used to investigate the net effect of different influencing factors on the social integration of migrant children. The findings are as follows: 1.The social integration of rural migrant children is significantly lower than that of urban migrant children.2.Peer effect has a significant impact on the social integration of the overall migrant children.3.Peer acceptance is positively correlated with the social integration of rural migrant children, but it has no effect on the social integration of urban migrant children.4.The more negative behaviors of peers, the lower the quality of social integration of rural migrant children, but it does not affect the social integration of urban migrant children.5.The influence of peer effect on the social integration of migrant children is second only to individual characteristics, and it has become an important internal mechanism that affects the social integration of migrant children today.Enlightenment: Because of the heterogeneity of migrant children, structural factors should be taken into account when investigating the influence of initiative factors on their social integration. In order to improve the social integration of migrant children,on the one hand, parents should help their children to establish correct values and behavior norms, and at the same time, guide their children to constantly improve themselves by following the example of excellent peers. On the other hand, teachers should create a good atmosphere of learning and making friends, and carry out corresponding class activities to promote the positive cooperation and interaction between migrant children and local children, enhance class cohesion and help migrant children gain identity and collective belonging.
