Interpersonal trust is the foundation and background of personal psychological development, and it is also the basis for forming a healthy personality. As the basic link,it connects individuals with others, individuals and society.Interpersonal trust to a certain extent represents the attitude to human nature, trust is the glue of interpersonal relationships in real life, including individuals to the collective,to others a sense of identity and belonging, individuals with a high degree of interpersonal trust in social communication feel that people are trustworthy, but also will correspondingly produce prosocial behavior.Conversely,it is possible to increase the deviant and antisocial behavior of individuals.Adolescence is a critical period for individuals to independently explore the external world and form self-concept,and their level of interpersonal trust will directly affect whether adolescents can grow up healthily. If middle school students experience a crisis of interpersonal trust as they grow up,this will directly lead them to emotional disorders such as anxiety, depression and lack of security, endangering their mental health and negatively affecting individuals and society.Previous studies have only examined the relationship between self-disclosure,interpersonal trust, psychological resilience and interpersonal trust, and paid less attention to the mechanism of self-disclosure,psychological resilience and interpersonal trust. Moreover, most of the previous studies have been variable-centered exploration, ignoring the differences in individual interpersonal trust, and it is necessary to further investigate whether self-disclosure and psychological resilience will have the same degree of impact on interpersonal trust in different types of middle school students,so as to carry out accurate intervention. Therefore, this study selected middle school students as the research object, used the questionnaire survey method to discuss the interpersonal trust of middle school students, and carried out group counseling intervention for middle school students with self-disclosure,which provided a reference for improving interpersonal trust of middle school students. The study is divided into three parts: study 1 used a variable centered approach to explore the characteristics and influencing mechanisms of interpersonal trust among 970 middle and high school students;Study 2 adopts an individual centered approach to analyze interpersonal trust and its mechanisms among middle school students, further exploring whether there is cross group consistency in the mediation model;Study 3 used experimental methods to conduct group counseling interventions on self disclosure in the experimental group,in order to improve interpersonal trust among middle school students. The study concludes as follows:(1)Interpersonal trust among middle school students is generally at an upper middle level. There are significant differences in the total score of interpersonal trust among middle school students in terms of grade, gender, place of origin, and father’s education level. There are no significant differences in whether they are only children or the mother’s education level.(2)Self-disclosure could not only directly predict interpersonal trust, but also indirectly predict interpersonal trust of middle school students through the partial mediating effect of psychological resilience.(3)There is group heterogeneity in interpersonal trust among middle school students, which can be divided into three potential categories: low interpersonal trust group(13.6%),medium interpersonal trust group(65.9%)and high interpersonal trust group(20.5%).(4)Moreover,there are group differences in the mediating role of psychological resilience in self-disclosure and interpersonal trust. For the low interpersonal trust group,self-disclosure did not predict interpersonal trust significantly, and interpersonal trust was only affected by psychological resilience; For the moderate interpersonal trust group and the high interpersonal trust group, psychological resilience plays a mediating role between self-disclosure and interpersonal trust.(5)Self-disclosure group counseling can improve the level of interpersonal trust among middle school students.
