| Autism is a developmental disorder characterized by social difficulties,delayed speech development,stereotyped or ritualistic behavior.Educational interventions are the main way to facilitate the acquisition of life skills and social adaptation of autistic students.As a part of selfcare ability,the acquisition and cultivation of finishing skills are directly related to the quality of life and social integration of autistic students.The Video Modeling is a technologically advanced intervention that leverages the visual strengths of autistic students to effectively help them develop various skills.Through Video Modeling intervention,students with autism learn to organize their own belongings,find out the school supplies they need faster,and improve their self-care and self-management ability.This study aimed to explore the intervention effect of the Video Modeling on the tidying skills of autistic students,and explore the effectiveness of the Video Modeling in the intervention of autistic students’ tidying skills.Improve the school adaptability of autistic students,enrich empirical research in this field,and provide reference for educators and researchers.This study takes two first grade students with autism in a mentally retarded school as the research objects.Video Modeling was used to intervene their finishing skills,so that they could master the finishing skills and improve the adaptability of autistic students.Tabletop sorting and schoolbag sorting were selected as the target skills in this study.Single subject experiment method and interview method were used to conduct Video Modeling intervention training for10 weeks.The experimental stages were divided into baseline,intervention and maintenance period.The self-made "I will organize the desktop" and "I will organize the schoolbag" skills demonstration video as the main tool for intervention in the trial and tiding desktop and sorting the schoolbag skills.The self-compiled “Intervention Record Form for Students with Autism in Table Arranging/Bag Arranging Skills” recorded the specific tasks completed by the subjects in the baseline,intervention and maintenance periods during the study.“ The Outline of Intervention Interview on finishing Skills of Students with Autism” was compiled by myself.After the intervention,the head teacher and the subject teachers were interviewed to understand the changes and related behavior of the subjects in the intervention process,to explore the applicability of Video Modeling in the intervention of finishing skills of students with autism,and to put forward effective suggestions.Visual analysis and C statistics were used to analyze the experimental data,and the effect of Video Modeling on finishing skills of students with autism was discussed.The conclusions of this study are as follows: Video Modeling can improve the level of table arranging and bag arranging skills of students with autism;Video Modeling has a rapid improvement and sustained effect on the finishing skills of students with autism;There are individual differences in the effect of Video Modeling on finishing skills of students with autism.Therefore,the following educational suggestions are put forward: To clarify the procedures of Video Modeling to intervene the finishing skills of students with autism;Promote the transfer of finishing skills to other objects in school,family and social life;The Video Modeling should consider the individual differences of autistic students. |
