In recent years, with the deepening of the aging degree in our country, the national pension policy gradually improved gradually paid attention to the pension needs of urban and rural elderly, but with the growth of age,the type of the elderly was more detailed, the pension needs more diverse.Rural family caregivers,as the main caregivers of disabled elderly people in rural areas, usually need to spend a lot of time and energy on daily nursing and care, and at the same time, they are faced with physical, mental, economic and other difficult situations. In the long run, this will not only affect the quality of life of family caregivers, but also make it difficult to guarantee the living standards of disabled elderly people in their old age, which is not conducive to the healthy development of rural family pension model.Intra-family support should be the most direct source for family carers, but when other family members are unable to provide more support to the family as they shoulder the burden of making ends meet and schooling their children, the care burden and psychological stress on family carers will only increase. Therefore,it is necessary for all sectors of society to pay attention to the special groups of family caregivers and provide targeted support and help to them. The reality is that rural family caregivers have limited access to social support. As a result, caregivers of disabled elderly people in rural areas are left to fend for themselves, often leaving them exhausted and struggling to cope.Based on this, the research to help rural disabled elderly family caregivers to build a scientific social support network to a certain extent become the key to help them solve the dilemma. The stronger the individual social support network, the more comfortable the caregiver will be in coping with day-to-day care issues.Based on the theory of social support and the data of F County in Hebei Province, the author found that the disabled elderly in rural areas have different needs for caregivers due to their different degrees of disability.Elderly people with severe disabilities will need a caregiver’s company and care for a long time, and the caregiver is more demanding.Caregivers of the severely disabled are also more stressed. The difficulties faced by such caregivers are often caused by the difficulty in obtaining the necessary social support in their daily interactions with the outside world, including inadequate support within and outside the family, lack of care skills and learning channels for basic health knowledge, which make family caregivers face many difficulties in caring for disabled elderly people. At the same time, the lack of psychological stress relief channels and policy economic subsidies aggravate the burden of caregivers. In addition, the weakening of social interactions and connections poses additional challenges for family caregivers. At present, there are abundant researches on disabled old people in academia. However, the research mainly focuses on the disabled elderly in urban areas, while there are few studies on the disabled elderly caretakers in rural areas, and less attention is paid to the application of professional methods of social work to help the disabled elderly in rural areas. Therefore, the family caregivers in this study are mainly defined as long-term family caregivers in rural areas who have taken care of severely disabled elderly people 24/7 for more than 5 years because they cannot go out for jobs. The purpose of this study is to summarize previous studies and then search relevant materials to understand the living status of rural disabled elderly family caregivers in different years,to clarify the current difficulties faced by this group and analyze the causes of the difficulties, and to understand the urgent needs of this group through field research. On this basis, make full use of the professional advantages of social work to carry out the case intervention service, under the guidance of social support theory, think about what resources can be used in the social support system of the client, and hope to combine the actual situation to apply to the real service.Addressing the plight of disabled elderly carers in rural areas requires a diverse social effort. The author believes that the real solution to the problem of excessive care burden of family caregivers should be the joint efforts of the government, society, community, enterprise, family and experts in social work, psychology, sociology, medicine and other disciplines. The government should provide more policy support for caregivers, speed up the construction of rural communities, and fully mobilize various resources within communities to provide support and assistance to caregivers.Family members should play an important role in reducing the burden of caregivers.Firstly, the value of family caregivers should be affirmed.Secondly, other family members should also actively participate in the care work and share the burden of caregivers. In addition, professionals such as social workers and psychological counselors should use professional theories and skills of social work, psychology and sociology to provide professional support to caregivers,so as to build a more diverse, inclusive and friendly social environment.
