Analysis On Predicament And Solutions Of Resources To Urban Disabled Elderly Family Caregivers

With the rapid growing of population aging, China's disabled elderly population will increase year by year. While home care is one of the most important forms of old-age pension provision in our country, main caregivers of disabled elderly are their relatives, and it takes a lot of care resources during the process of home care. Discussing how to use those caring resources scientifically has a great impact on deducing caregivers' burden, relieving caregivers' pressure helping disabled elderly in rehabilitation and improving their rehabilitation atmosphere.Current researches on the disabled elderly care discusses little about resources classification. Based on the 15 disabled elderly families on S street interviews and observations, according to the ecological system theory. Hereby, author would like to classify the care resources in accordance with the system of social policy, institutional systems, community systems, the client system. Therefore, this essay is to describe of the current difficulties of existing problems of getting the care resources, summarize the impact caused by the problems and analyze the causes of them. This essay is to use problem-solving perspective to find strategies that social workers could use to provide clients with those available resources. Thus, caregivers are encouraged to take advantages of these resources to solve the problems and relieve the caregivers' pressure with a better rehabilitation atmosphere.
