| With the concept of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" put forward by Premier Li Keqiang,the exploration and research of training comprehensive talents has become a hot topic.Maker education has unique advantages in cultivating the spirit of innovation,but it lacks the emphasis on the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge,which is perfectly supplemented by STEAM education.In 2016,Liu Huan and other scholars first proposed S-M integrated education,which skillfully integrates learning,research and innovation,and has become the focus of education researchers in recent years.This study combines S-M education model with high school biology class,aiming to improve students’ biology S-M literacy level through educational practice.It has great significance in improving students’ scientific thinking,scientific inquiry ability,life concept and training comprehensive talents.According to the research idea of "theoretical analysis--instructional design--instructional practice",this study carries out a systematic biology practice course in high school.First of all,through the literature research method to consult relevant literature at home and abroad,to understand the research status of S-M education.Secondly,on the basis of "learning by doing" theory,constructivism theory,project-based learning theory and evidence-based learning theory,the concepts of STEAM education,biological maker education and S-M education are defined.Finally,200 students of a senior high school in Chengyang and teachers of different ages,degrees and genders were investigated and interviewed to understand the current teachers’ understanding of S-M education and students’ S-M literacy level.The teaching model of "creative design--imitation practice--determination of scheme--product creation--sharing and communication" was proposed,and curriculum practice was carried out.The practical results show that the students enhance the ability to master the knowledge of various disciplines and integrate the knowledge of various disciplines to solve practical problems through the hands-on practice process.Enhance students’ practical ability and promote the formation of innovation consciousness;The ability to share and communicate has been significantly improved,which stimulates students’ interest in high school biology.It can be seen that the application of S-M education model in high school biology class can effectively stimulate students’ desire for knowledge,enhance their concept of life,enhance their ability to grasp basic knowledge,innovation consciousness,innovation ability,scientific inquiry ability,hands-on practice ability and sharing and communication ability,and the practice process is conducive to the formation of students’ complete scientific thinking logic.For the first time,this study applies the S-M education concept to high school biology practice classroom,and adopts evidence-based learning theory to design biology teaching that is closer to life.It further improves the S-M education and teaching model studied by scholars such as Yang Daliang,and exercises students’ ability of knowledge integration,innovation and creation,sharing and communication.Due to the limitation of internship time,the material for practice is relatively small and the object of practice is single.Only two practical courses have been conducted.If the S-M education model is widely applied in high schools in the future,teachers should fully grasp the situation of students,design more abundant teaching situations,and bring students better learning experience. |
