Research On Online Chinese Teaching In Indonesia Gloria Christian Junior High School

During the COVID-19 pandemic,the Online teaching method has become the primary teaching method in Indonesia,even though schools in Indonesia have resumed using offline teaching methods.However,the Online teaching method has become one of the many methods that will still be used in the post-pandemic era for blended teaching and learning.Therefore,research on online teaching methods still has excellent value.Comparatively speaking,Junior high school students’ self-management ability is weak,making online teaching harder.I was an Indonesian native teacher.I taught in the advanced class at Gloria Christian junior high school during the pandemic.The thesis researches this problem and hopes to give some contributions to Chinese online teaching in Indonesian junior high schools.This thesis first introduces the general situation of Chinese online teaching in Indonesia Gloria Christian Junior high school.It contains the current situation of Chinese language education in junior high school,the advantages and challenges of online Chinese teaching,and the detailed implementation of online Chinese teaching.Second,during the pandemic,I taught Chinese at Gloria school.I chose Lesson 9,"Xiaoling’s home is near Qingnian Street",from the seventh book of "Qiandao Chinese" as a case study for analysis and reflection.Third,survey and interview teachers and students of the school regarding online Chinese teaching,collect relevant feedback from the aspects of teachers,students,and online teaching platform.Thus,conduct discussion and analysis.Lastly,Summarize the problems of online teaching in Indonesia Gloria Christian Junior high school from the aspects of teacher,student,and online teaching platform,and give suggestions for online Chinese teaching in Indonesia’s local junior high schools.This thesis gives forward the following suggestions: From the teacher’s aspect: Increase online teaching training and observe excellent teachers’ lessons;Strengthen teachers’ sense of responsibility and strengthen online classroom management;Highlight the advantages of Chinese subject and improve online Chinese teaching;Use a variety of teaching methods and teaching instruments and create a relaxed and exciting classroom atmosphere;Understand the psychological of junior high school students and guide the students to learn Chinese better.From the student’s aspect: learn to manage oneself and become a better learner;utilize the internet environment and make Chinese an online lifestyle;be reasonable when using modern technology and become an honest learner.From the teaching platform aspect: improve the Schoology teaching platform,the online game teaching platform,and the network support teaching conditions.
