Indonesia is getting more and more attention to Chinese.Many cities use Chinese as their foreign language in their second foreign language.Many cities offer Chinese classes.There are more and more schools in the Chinese language classes in Yogyakarta.From elementary school to university.At present,there are nine high school(one public high school,six private high school,and two secondary schools)schools in Yogyakarta,Indonesia.In order to better understand the situation of Chinese teaching in high school in Yogyakarta,Indonesia,this paper takes a representative from a public high school in Yogyakarta,Indonesia,two private high schools,and a secondary school.From the high school of the four Yogyakarta representatives,this article is from the first-year high school students,because the first-year students at the beginning or junior Chinese experience the difficulty of Chinese is obvious.This article also investigates the learning experiences and thoughts of the high school students in Yogyakarta,including the pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar and Chinese characters.It also analyzes the difficult parts of the textbook and investigates the students’ difficulties in learning pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,and Chinese characters.In addition to the students,I analyzed the basic situation of Chinese teachers in four schools,I also analyzed the analysis of the teaching process(presentation,explanation,practice)from the various schools,the teaching schedule,and the feedback from the teacher on the teacher’s teaching method.
