The construction of teachers and the improvement of teachers’ professional quality have always been a hot issue of concern to the country and society.As an important part of teachers’ professional quality,teaching efficacy is a major indicator to measure teachers’ professional development level.Therefore,improving teachers’ teaching efficacy is a key point that cannot be ignored in the construction of teachers’ team.Teachers’ sense of teaching efficacy plays a unique role in the development of teachers themselves,students and even the whole education.However,novice teachers in primary schools often find it difficult to cope with the actual teaching difficulties due to their lack of experience,which leads to their relatively low level of teaching efficacy.Therefore,we should pay more attention to the improvement of their sense of teaching efficacy.In order to study this problem deeply,we must go into the inner world of teachers,understand their life experiences,and find out the key factors affecting teachers’ teaching efficacy and their inherent laws.Therefore,this study will take key events as the breakthrough point to explore the influence of key events on the teaching efficacy of novice primary school teachers and put forward strategies to improve the teaching efficacy of novice primary school teachers based on key events.This paper will comprehensively adopt the methods of literature,questionnaire and interview to study the current situation of the teaching efficacy level of primary school novice teachers and the key events they have experienced.First of all,by consulting and combing the relevant literature,this paper summarizes the teaching efficacy,key events and the relationship between them.On this basis,it clarifies the two core concepts of "key events" and "teaching efficacy",determines the two dimensions of teachers’ teaching efficacy: general teaching efficacy and personal teaching efficacy,and establishes the two theoretical foundations of this study: Roth’s control point theory and Bandura’s self-efficacy theory.Secondly,combined with the latest educational background,the existing scale was revised,and a questionnaire on the current situation of teaching efficacy of novice primary school teachers was compiled.Through the questionnaire survey,we can understand what level of teaching efficacy of novice primary school teachers is and analyze what factors it is related to teachers themselves.At the same time,three primary school teachers were interviewed to find out what the key events they experienced affected their teaching efficacy.Then,the collected key events were analyzed in depth,and the general principle that key events affected teachers’ teaching efficacy was found.Finally,effective strategies to improve primary school teachers’ teaching efficacy were put forward from the perspective of key events.Through the research,it is found that the current primary school teachers’ teaching efficacy is at the upper-middle level,and teachers’ gender,being a head teacher and education have a significant impact on teachers’ personal teaching efficacy;Primary school novice teachers usually experience key events that affect their teaching efficacy in their daily professional life.These key events are both positive and negative.The influence of key events on teachers’ teaching efficacy is mainly based on the following five factors: the type of teachers’ own control points is the internal motivation,the success or failure experience gained from key events is the core factor,the guidance and evaluation of key people is an effective method to improve teaching efficacy,personal reflection is the intermediary system for key events to influence teaching efficacy,and campus cultural environment is the important support for key events to influence teaching efficacy;On the basis of clarifying how key events affect teachers’ teaching efficacy,this paper finally tries to put forward three suggestions to improve teachers’ teaching efficacy based on key events: recording key events and treating them correctly;Seize the critical period and give full play to the positive role of key figures;Create a favorable environment and nurture positive key events.
