The construction of a strong sporting nation and the report of the 20 th National Congress have both put forward high requirements for sport in China.As the foundation of competitive sport and social sport,school sport has the important mission of cultivating talents needed by society.The evaluation of teaching quality is an important part of the teaching management of general universities,and the evaluation of teaching quality can,to a certain extent,reflect how effective the school is in educating people through physical education.Compared with other disciplines,tennis class teaching quality evaluation related research is less,and there is a more one-sided evaluation basis,evaluation results more focus on the results of evaluation and less attention to the process of evaluation,evaluation system research and application of disconnected.In order to investigate several colleges and universities in Sichuan province,which have carried out the general tennis course,the teaching quality evaluation index system of the general tennis course was constructed by using Delphi method and hierarchical analysis method,and the relevant conclusions were drawn as follows:(1)The teaching quality evaluation system of the general tennis course in general colleges and universities is a multi-dimensional evaluation system,which contains 4 primary indicators,13 secondary indicators and 41 observation points.(2)This study combines expert ratings with the quality of the classroom environment and the quality of students’ learning.(2)In this study,the weighting values of the indicators at each level were derived by applying the hierarchical analysis method in conjunction with the results of expert ratings.The weights of the four level indicators of teacher teaching quality,student learning quality,classroom task quality and classroom environment quality were 0.281,0.119,0.545 and 0.055 respectively,which showed that classroom task quality had the highest weight value in the evaluation of the teaching quality of general tennis courses in general universities,followed by teacher teaching quality.The classroom environment quality dimension was included as a special dimension in the evaluation of the teaching quality of general tennis courses in general universities.The inclusion of the teaching environment is a good indication that a significant part of the weighting of the quality of teaching in general tennis courses in general universities is determined by the teaching environment.Among the teaching environments,the psychological environment has a higher weighting than the physical environment,indicating that the relationship between teachers and students and the relationship between students has a certain influence on the evaluation of the quality of teaching in general tennis courses in general universities.The quality of student learning reflects to a certain extent the quality of teaching in general tennis courses in general universities.The quality of student learning is explained in terms of both student learning behaviour and sports performance,which is judged by process indicators and represents more flexibly how effective student learning is,and this aspect introduces the basis for judging teaching quality,which can better judge the teaching effect.(3)To sum up,the evaluation index system of teaching quality of general tennis courses in general colleges and universities,which is derived by Delphi method and hierarchical analysis,contains 4 primary indicators,13 secondary indicators and41 observations,and the weight values of the 4 primary indicators are ranked in order of classroom task quality,classroom environment quality,student learning quality and teacher teaching quality.
