With the growing national power of China,the reformation and exploration of physical education methods have been in progress,and the selection of a specific physical education method for customers is very critical for promoting the quality of the classroom learning and increasing the creativity and initiative of students.This paper adopts the methods of literature,questionnaires,panel interviews,logistic statistics,logical analysis and experimental methods,which are integrated with sports training and sports psychology and other related theories,and explores the feasibility of evaluation-driven teaching method in the teaching of badminton elective classes in colleges and universities by designing teaching experiments and comparing and analyzing the experimental data obtained.In this academic study,the object of the study is the performance of the evaluation-driven teaching method in the optional badminton in universities,and the experimental subjects were selected as two groups of 60 students who participated in the optional badminton course in Taiyuan University of Science and Technology,Taiyuan,Shanxi Province,in the class of 2020.They were distributed into experimental group(n=30)and control group(n=30).The four basic badminton arts of forehand serving plateau ball,backhand serving net front ball,forehand back court hitting high ball and forecastle backhand net front pick were selected as the main teaching contents in the experimental process.The results of the study showed that.First.As to the changes in physical fitness.After considering the data of the assessment of physical fitness before and After the experiment,it was noted that the improvement of physical fitness of the experimental team and control team was not evident(P > 0.05)after 16 weeks of the exercise,regardless of whether the traditional teaching method or the assessment-driven teaching method was used.Second,both traditional teaching methods and evaluation-driven teaching methods can improve students’ basic badminton technical skills level,the use of evaluation-driven teaching methods for teaching students badminton action special action performance and technical assessment to improve the effect is more significant.Third,the use of evaluation-driven teaching in the classroom more focused on the process of teaching badminton knowledge,leading students to a broader understanding and use of the theoretical knowledge learned,more efficient to enhance the cognitive ability of students.Fourth,the Evaluation Driven Teaching method pays more emphasis on the course of classroom teaching individual differences of each student,cultivating the ability of students to work together and the spirit of communitarianism,so that the students’ desire to learn badminton and the level of interest and the level of satisfaction in learning badminton were effectively improved.To be more accurate,the evaluation driven teaching method in the university elective badminton curriculum is more in line with the trend of curriculum reform in China under the new standard,in agreement with the requirements and objectives of the current physical education curriculum,which can improve the outcome of classroom teaching to a certain degree and cultivate students’ love for shuttlecock.Therefore,it is practicable to apply the evaluation-driven teaching in the teaching of badminton elective courses in colleges and cities.
