With the continuous acceleration of the integration of urban and rural construction, the demand for land for urban expansion has increased significantly. In order to resettle these land-loss and house-loss farmers and better ensure the survival and development of the relevant relocated residents, the resettlement housing community funded by the government is generated. The residential structure of the resettlement community is complex, and the complexity of the residential structure will lead to differences in the living habits of the residents.Children in the resettlement community are quite different from urban children in terms of living habits and lifestyle.Due to the lack of reasonable education and care for children in the resettlement community, their adaptability is poor and their self-efficacy is low. This paper takes a resettlement community in L City as an example, starting from how to improve the self-efficacy of children in the resettlement community, combining the spatial and demographic characteristics of the resettlement community,to explore the practical research on the promotion of children’s self-efficacy in the intervention of social work in the resettlement community. This paper takes the theory of self-efficacy as the guiding theory, and uses questionnaires,semi-structured interviews and participatory observation methods to explore the improvement of self-efficacy of children in resettlement communities.By understanding the characteristics of service objects, assessing the needs of service objects, designing specific activities based on theory, and conducting a group activity called "Confident I Am Sparkling" to help improve the self-efficacy of children in resettlement communities. After the end of the group activity, the results of the evaluation showed that compared with before the intervention, the group members’ self-confidence was enhanced,self-identity was improved, learning interest was enhanced, awareness of knowledge was improved,parent-child interaction was enhanced, and parent-child communication was increased. The activity results confirmed the effectiveness of the work of the group. This study concludes that group work is an effective way to improve the self-efficacy of children in resettlement communities, and the theory of self-efficacy has strong practical guiding significance in the practice process.Diverse group activities are conducive to improving group efficiency and achieving group objectives. However, there are some deficiencies in the group work, such as the inability to provide continuous services and the limited capacity of social workers.Social work is not accomplished overnight, and needs long-term implementation and support from various aspects.
