| The Department of Education of Henan Province issued the Implementation Plan for Deepening the Reform of Examination and Enrollment System in Henan Province on 12 August 2016(Yu Zheng [2016] No.52).According to this plan,Henan Province will be the fifth batch of provinces to officially implement the new college entrance examination reform in 2022.As Henan Province is the first time to carry out the new college entrance examination reform,it lacks experience and is different from other provinces in terms of educational situation,so it cannot be imitated. The choice of subject combinations involves the organization of teaching and learning in senior secondary schools, students’ future development plans and university admissions. In addition, the study of physics in high school has a profound impact on the quality of secondary school students and the transition between secondary school and university.Take the opportunity to investigate whether students take physics, the reasons for choosing or not choosing physics, the factors that influence students to take physics and the dilemmas they encounter and the help they need to seek when doing so;Suggest changes the school, teachers and parents can make and help available in response to the difficulties encountered by students. It is also hoped that the results of the survey will provide some evidence and data to support the implementation of the new college entrance examination reform in Henan in the future, especially with regard to the selection of physics subjects. In this study, senior students of the Second Experimental Middle School in Luoyang,Henan Province, were used as the subjects of investigation.Firstly,we use documentary analysis to study the provinces and cities that have carried out the new college entrance examination reform,to summarize their reform experiences and difficulties,to learn from their experiences and avoid lessons.Secondly,a questionnaire was used to investigate the current situation of students taking physics subjects under the "3+1+2" model of the new HKALE and the implementation of school guidance on subject selection.Once again, the SPSS software was used to analyze the main factors affecting the choice of physics subjects by general high school students, and it was found that students’ choice of physics subjects was mainly influenced by "interest in physics","physics grades","physics is easier than other subjects","requirements of their preferred universities or majors","influence of classmates or friends",and "physics is a big choice when filling out the college entrance examination. Finally,an in-depth analysis of the problems in the practice of subject selection and an in-depth exploration of the causes of the problems.Based on the above findings and analysis of the causes, feasible suggestions are made from three aspects: the new college entrance examination policy, enhancing students’ interest in learning physics, and future development planning, and mainly from three dimensions: schools, teachers and parents. In terms of the new college entrance examination policy: to strengthen the study of the new college entrance examination policy and improve the policy level of teachers;to optimize the subject selection scheme so that students can select subjects scientifically and rationally. In terms of enhancing students’ interest in learning physics: deepening the articulation of physics teaching methods to improve students’ interest in learning physics;strengthening the articulation of physics teaching content to crack the fear of some students in learning physics. In the area of future development planning: strengthen home-school cooperation and sound guidance education on students’ future development planning;enhance parents’ capacity and strengthen their scientific guidance on the selection of subjects for senior secondary students. |
