The legal material of Physics textbooks is a vital source of knowledge for both teachers and students,playing a critical part in the education of physics in schools.This textbook serves as a practical experience base for teachers,influencing their lesson preparation and class,as well as limiting the growth of their teaching skills.At the same time,physics textbooks are also one of the important learning tools for students.They are the physics learning materials that students can directly obtain and affect their learning content,learning style and self-evaluation.Therefore,as an important teaching resource,especially learning resource,textbook has an important influence on teaching activities,and its teaching support function has the most profound influence on teaching activities.Theoretical and empirical research on the teaching support role of physics textbooks is conducted in this paper.Firstly,through the analysis and collation of literature materials,a preliminary evaluation index framework is obtained.Revising and comparing the index system through expert consultation and questionnaire survey,a new evaluation index system of high school physics textbook teaching support is established and improved.This study,from a theoretical perspective,augmented the concept of physics textbook assessment,augmented the middle school physics curriculum theory,and supplied a theoretical reference for further advancing the reform of high school physics curriculum by investigating the evaluation index system of high school physics textbook teaching support level.The quality of high school physics textbooks,in terms of the level of teaching support,is the most influential factor in determining the utilization of them from a practical standpoint.Research into the role of teaching support for physics textbooks is beneficial in uncovering the practical purpose of these textbooks,offering teachers and students guidance to use them,thus enhancing the overall level of science literacy and meeting the demands of the curriculum reform in senior high schools..The study’s primary structure is composed of six sections.The first,"Introduction",outlines the issue,its definition,the theory base,the research technique,and the significance of the research.Chapter II is a Literature Review.This paper reviews the research results,arguments,and development trends of "Teaching Support".The evaluation index system for teaching high school physics textbooks,comprising 3 first level indicators,10 second level indicators and 30 third level indicators,was formulated based on the literature analysis.Chapter IV "Study on Physics Textbook Teaching Support Based on Expert Consultation" Evaluation Index System in physics textbooks at home and abroad.The third chapter,"Design of Evaluation Index System of High School Physics Textbook Teaching Support",mainly starts from the theoretical basis of the research and literature analysis and combing,the evaluation index system of high school physical textbooks is established,which consists of 3 first grade indexes,10 second grade indexes and 30 third grade indexes.The fourth chapter,"Study on Physics Textbook Teaching Support Based on Expert Consultation Evaluation Index System ",revises and improves the satisfactory evaluation index system through two expert consultations,including 3 first-level indicators,11 second-level indicators and 32 third-level detailed indicators.Experts’ scoring having been completed,the weight coefficients of all indicators’ levels are then determined.In the fifth chapter,"Verification of the Evaluation Index System of High School Physics Textbook Teaching Support based on textbook users",two user questionnaires were compiled in accordance with the evaluation index to conduct experimental research on the evaluation index system,and the importance of the physics textbook teaching support view of the textbook users was evaluated.In the sixth chapter,a "conclusion" is presented that summarizes the research findings,proffers countermeasures and proposals,and elucidates the shortcomings and potential of this study.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:First,the evaluation index system of physics textbook teaching support is an evaluation tool composed of 3 evaluation dimensions,11 evaluation subdimensions and 32 evaluation indexes.The evaluation index system requires that,when evaluating the teaching support function of high school physics textbooks,the most important thing is to evaluate the "support learning"(weight value: 0.442),that is,incentives and feedback,evaluation methods,sample exercises and other contents;Secondly,it evaluates the "supporting teaching" of physics textbooks(weight value:0.341),that is,teaching objectives,teaching methods,teaching guidance,experimental arrangement,other contents and teaching resources.Finally,the "text presentation"(weight value:0.208)of the physics textbook is evaluated,namely the normalization,narrative mode,other contents and presentation mode.Second,validation analysis of the index system has revealed that the teaching support function of high school physics textbooks is of an upper-middle level..No matter it supports teaching,learning or text presentation,it has good reliability and validity,has a certain scientific and rational nature,but still has a certain room for improvement.
