A Comparative Study Of College Student Experience Of Students From General High School And Vocational High School

With the development of higher education,education quality has become the focus of attention.The core of higher education quality is the development of human beings.Students’ timely acceptance of school education is also the subject of education quality.Student evaluation should be an important part of the quality evaluation of higher education.Therefore,this paper examines the educational quality of colleges and universities from the perspective of college experience.This research focuses on the sophomore to senior students of Hunan Agricultural University who are entering general higher education and vocational higher education,through the 《Questionnaire of college students’ study experience》 to investigate the students ’ evaluation of campus activities,campus environment and self-assessment of school gains.Trying to explore the following questions:(1)What is the overall situation of students’ college experience in the selected sample school?(2)What are the differences in the experience of general higher education students in selected universities?(3)What are the reasons for the differences?(4)How to improve the quality of college students from different sources?The study found that:(1)Campus activities: In terms of curriculum learning,there are significant differences in library,science and quantitative experience among students in general higher education;In terms of extracurricular activities,there are significant differences in campus facilities,associations or student organizations,arts and music among general higher education students;In terms of interpersonal activities,there are significant differences in the experience of communication with classmates,the experience of communication with teachers and personal experience.The participation of ordinary higher education students in all dimensions is higher than that of vocational higher education students.(2)Campus environment: There are significant differences in academic environment,practical environment and interpersonal environment among vocational college students.The evaluation of vocational college students is higher than that of ordinary college students.(3)Gains from schooling: There are significant differences in personal growth and knowledge and skills among students from general higher education,and the self-assessment of students from vocational higher education is higher than that of students from general higher education.There is no significant difference in the comprehensive evaluation of thinking ability,interest hobbies and their learning outcomes.
