With the development of the times,China’s demand for comprehensive talent is increasing, and STEAM education, which originated in the United States, has proved to help develop students’ comprehensive abilities. As a fundamental subject, mathematics has an important place in STEAM education, and its rational use and integration into the high school mathematics classroom can help to address the drawbacks of separate subjects.Plane geometry is an integral part of high school mathematics, and its knowledge is widely used in science, technology, engineering and the arts, which makes it possible to integrate STEAM education concepts into high school plane geometry teaching. At present, there are relatively few studies on teaching high school plane geometry based on the STEAM education concept in China. In this context, this paper uses literature analysis, interdisciplinary research, interview method and case study method to firstly analyze the feasibility of integrating STEAM education concept into high school plane geometry teaching;secondly, explore the connection between the contents of textbooks of other related subjects in high school and the contents of science, technology, engineering and art with high school plane geometry and the materials that can be integrated into teaching, and carry out STEAM education Finally, conclusions are drawn through practical analysis.By exploring the multidisciplinary elements that can be integrated, this paper provides a reference material library for front-line teachers, and selects appropriate ways to integrate STEAM education-related elements into the teaching design of plane analytical geometry,so as to provide new ideas for this part of teaching.Through the research, the following conclusions are drawn: First, plane analytical geometry has a wide range of applications in physics, astronomy, optics, architecture and other aspects.Second, the flat analytical geometry teaching design that integrates STEAM educational elements is more conducive to students’ learning, but it also puts forward higher requirements for teachers.Based on the study, the following recommendations are given: firstly, schools can provide a platform for teachers to divide and collaborate to collect elements that can be incorporated into STEAM education;secondly, teachers from different disciplines can work together to exchange and prepare lessons, break the boundaries between disciplines and explore the connections between them;thirdly,a team of STEAM education teachers can be established and regular STEAM education-related training can be conducted. |
