| The study of text readability has important application value,and has great practical significance in determining the text selection of Chinese teaching materials,determining the text of reading test and carrying out reading teaching.From the perspective of readability theory,the research on modern text reading materials of high school entrance examination can help test makers to form a more scientific judgment on text difficulty,help test makers to select modern text reading materials more efficiently and scientifically,and make necessary deletion and modification of relevant reading materials to meet the needs of reading tests.This paper summarizes the development trend of modern text reading materials in high school entrance examination and provides new ideas for the selection of modern text reading materials.Chongqing is a strong educational city in the southwest region.In view of this,this paper takes reading materials of modern Chinese for Chongqing High School Entrance Examination as the research entry point,and selects the reading section of modern Chinese for Chongqing High School Entrance Examination from 2013 to 2022 to carry out the research.This paper introduces the reason for the topic selection and research significance,summarizes the research results of text legibility at home and abroad and the research status of modern text reading materials for high school entrance examination.After determining the research methods,it analyzes the legibility of modern text reading materials for Chongqing high School Entrance Examination respectively from three dimensions: text difficulty,reading task difficulty and reader level.In the study of text difficulty,it mainly analyzes four elements: reading quantity,language,structure and theme of reading materials.In the difficulty analysis of reading task,the difficulty analysis is mainly carried out from the level of reading task quantity and cognitive ability.In the study of reader level,the author mainly divides reader factors into reading motivation and reading literacy.Reading motivation refers to psychological level,while reading ability refers to ability level.On the basis of clarifying the factors that affect the difficulty of modern text reading materials,the author sorted out the difficulty trend and grade of each factor of modern text reading materials in the text system and reading task system of Chongqing high School entrance Examination from 2013 to 2022.The amount of literature texts in reading materials is stable around 1200 words,and the grammar difficulty is balanced overall.The grammar difficulty of lyric prose in some years is much higher than that of other styles.The rhetoric category mainly focuses on metaphor and comparison,while the language style is plain and simple.On the whole,the language difficulty of literary texts is relatively low.The structural difficulty of literary texts is differentiated obviously,and the structural difficulty of prose and novel is mainly in level 1 and level 2.Lyric prose mainly consists of level 3 and level 4.The theme is difficult and shows obvious tendency of educating people.The reading task is stable to five questions,and the examination of students’ creative and application ability level is increased.The reading amount of non-literary texts shows an obvious rising trend,and the rhetoric category is dominated by comparison and quotation,with a high degree of language familiarity.In recent years,it shows an obvious tendency of life,which is closely related to students’ life,study and mental health.The structure difficulty of non-literary texts is mainly level 1 and Level 3,and the structure difficulty and theme difficulty are lower than those of literary texts.In 2018,non-literary texts underwent great changes,and the reading tasks changed from the previous five questions to four questions,and tended to be stable.The topic also changed significantly from test text to use text,and the level of difficulty of cognitive ability was significantly improved.On this basis,the author puts forward some suggestions on the selection of modern text reading materials for Chongqing high school entrance examination.First,the modern text reading text of Chongqing high School Entrance Examination should broaden the types of material selection,ensure the fairness of literary text selection,increase the proportion of various literary works,enrich literary text types,and strengthen the concern of non-literary text content on real life.Second,the deletion and modification of reading materials must strictly control the length of the text,comprehensively consider the language difficulty of the text,form a scientific judgment on the structure and theme difficulty,and try to avoid major changes in the theme and structure.Thirdly,when ordering reading tasks,we should base on the development level of students’ reading literacy,and integrate the examination of students’ reading literacy with the examination of students’ advanced cognitive ability.Fourth,in the reading task system,a complete reading situation should be designed,and practical,progressive and interconnected reading task groups should be designed to test the development level of students’ core literacy. |
