Interpersonal skills refer to whether people can get psychological satisfaction through positive and effective interaction in social life.Interpersonal communication is regarded as the most basic social activity of human beings.Interpersonal skills are especially important for students who enter college and face a new environment.Some scholars have found that the formation of physical exercise habits will have an impact on interpersonal skills through variables.Based on the investigation of physical exercise habits,interpersonal skills,physical self-esteem and social physical anxiety,this paper analyzes the relationship among them,and discusses the chain mediating effect of physical self-esteem and social physical anxiety on physical exercise habits and interpersonal skills,so as to provide a valuable empirical basis for female college students to improve their interpersonal skills.This study focuses on the relationship among physical exercise habits,body self-esteem,social physical anxiety and interpersonal skills.Using "College students’ Physical Exercise Habits Questionnaire","Interpersonal Skills Self-assessment Scale","College Students’ Physical Self-esteem Self-Assessment Scale(PSPP)","Social Physical Anxiety Self-assessment Scale" as tools,a questionnaire survey was conducted among female college students from the first to the fourth year of Yili Normal University.A total of 1000 questionnaires were distributed,and 990 valid questionnaires were recovered.SPSS21.0 was used to sort out and analyze the data,and the conclusions were drawn as follows:(1)The physical exercise habits of female college students are slightly above the average level,the score of physical self-esteem is low,the degree of social physical anxiety is slightly high,and there are problems in the process of interpersonal communication.(2)The physical exercise habits of female college students are significantly different in the family location,and the physical exercise habits of urban female college students are better than those of rural female college students.The physical self-esteem of female college students in the first year is higher than that of female college students in the second,third and fourth year.The self-esteem of female college students from urban areas is higher than that of female college students from rural areas.The social physical anxiety of female college students in sophomore and senior year is higher than that of female college students in freshman and junior year.The social physical anxiety of female college students from rural area is higher than that of female college students from town.There are significant differences in interpersonal skills in grade and family location.The interpersonal skills of senior female college students are weaker,and the interpersonal skills of female college students from urban areas are better than those from rural areas.(3)The score of body self-esteem of female college students with high physical exercise habits is higher than that of female college students with low physical exercise habits,social physical anxiety of female college students with high physical exercise habits is lower than that of female college students with low physical exercise habits,and interpersonal skills of female college students with high physical exercise habits are higher than that of female college students with low physical exercise habits.(4)Physical exercise habits of female college students are positively correlated with interpersonal skills(P<0.01),was positively correlated with body self-esteem(P<0.01)was negatively correlated with social physical anxiety(P<0.01);Physical self-esteem was negatively correlated with social physical anxiety(P<0.01)was positively correlated with interpersonal skills(P<0.01);Social physical anxiety was negatively correlated with interpersonal skills(P<0.01).(5)Physical exercise habits of female college students had a positive prediction effect on interpersonal skills,a positive prediction effect on body self-esteem,and a negative prediction effect on social physical anxiety;Body self-esteem negatively predicted social physical anxiety and positively predicted interpersonal skills.Social physical anxiety can negatively predict interpersonal skills.(6)Physical self-esteem has a partial mediating effect between physical exercise habits and interpersonal skills.Physical exercise habits can indirectly affect interpersonal skills through physical self-esteem,and the indirect effect is 0.020,accounting for 10% of the total effect.Social physical anxiety plays a mediating role between physical exercise habits and interpersonal skills.Physical exercise habits can affect interpersonal skills through social physical anxiety,and the indirect effect is0.035,accounting for 17.5% of the total effect.Physical exercise habits have a chain mediating effect between physical exercise habits and interpersonal skills.Physical exercise habits affect interpersonal skills through physical self-esteem and social physical anxiety,and the indirect effect is 0.019,accounting for 9.5% of the total effect.Based on the above research results,this study concludes that:(1)compared with female college students with low physical exercise habits,the higher the physical exercise habits are,the better the interpersonal skills are and the less they are troubled by interpersonal communication.(2)Physical exercise habits were positively correlated with interpersonal skills,positively correlated with body self-esteem,and negatively correlated with social physical anxiety;Body self-esteem was negatively correlated with social physical anxiety and positively correlated with interpersonal skills.Social physical anxiety is positively correlated with interpersonal skills.(3)Physical exercise habits can not only directly affect interpersonal skills,but also indirectly affect interpersonal skills through two mediating variables: physical self-esteem and social physical anxiety.Therefore,it is of positive significance to improve the interpersonal skills of female college students by cultivating good physical exercise habits.
