| The Times requires talents with excellent competence,all-round development and good teamwork.With the promulgations of the "Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)",the student-centered teaching idea and the student-centered teaching method are advocated widely.It is an effective way to improve the core competence of students by conducting activity teaching with the activity system in the textbook.However,in the practice,we feel difficult conducting activity teaching while the effect is below expectation.Taking this as the starting point,this study aims to provide teachers with strategies and cases for efficient use of activity column,promoting teachers to change teaching concepts and truly cultivating students’ geographical literacy while expanding new ideas for the development of activity column.This study mainly uses questionnaire survey,interviewing method,literature research and case analysis combining research with teaching.With teaching practice and observation,the study try to obtain effective utilization and development strategies of activity column in junior middle school geography textbooks to help teachers to carry out activity teaching and cultivate students’ core literacy.The research is divided into the following three steps:Firstly,through the questionnaire for students,the interview for teachers and the observations for real class learning,the author has found that there are several problems existing in the current junior high school geography class activity teaching: taking less time of activity teaching,the insufficient utilization of "activity" resources,the oneness of the activity teaching mode,and so on.Limited class time,teachers varying in comprehensive quality,the simplexes of evaluation method and lack of activity resources to may contribute.Secondly,aiming at the problems listed above,the author provides ideas to solve the problem combined with her own teaching practice,focusing on limited class hours,teacher development and the lack of feasible cases.At the first,the author divides the "activity" column into three categories: knowledge memorization,exploration and summary and practical experience according to the purpose,form and content of the activity.Combined with the requirements of the curriculum standard,the thesis explores the design principles of the activity system of the textbook according to the data statistics and analysis.Then the thesis proposes effective strategies,which instruct the instructional design of junior middle school geography activity teaching in class.Thirdly,in addition to proposing more efficient and more specific activity teaching strategies,the author design the case of activity teaching on geography class in junior middle school.Besides,the thesis also try to design courses of the extended development of textbook activity resources based on local geographic resources,combined with afterclass activities such as project-based learning and research trips.Through strengthening practical activities based on real experience,students are allowed to experience the complete process of "cognition-practice-deepening cognition" in geography practice.The characteristics of geography discipline are shown,which helps students to deepen their understanding of knowledge,improve their ability to transfer and apply knowledge and solve practical problems,and constantly improve their core quality of geography.Based on the above research,the author draws the following conclusions.Strategies for effective utilization and development of activity resources in junior high school geography textbooks are listed as below.Place columns of "recognizing and memorizing geographically broad things on the map" before class with various evaluation in class to ensure implementation.With activity column as the core,carry out situational teaching under the guidance of curriculum.Extract the core concept of unit,breaking the chapter restriction to carry out large unit teaching.Carry out "practical experience" activities after class.Organize different forms of geographical practice activities allowing students to experience the process of "cognition-practice-deepening cognition".This paper also puts forward 5 practical teaching cases under the guidance of the strategy,and summarizes the design route.The author believes that activity teaching is an effective way to cultivate students’ core qualities.With the continuous development of education,activity teaching will make greater contributions to the implementation of the fundamental task of " Establish Morality and Cultivate Talents ". |
