| Geography teaching should be a bilateral interaction between “teaching” and “learning”.Therefore,we must face the predicament in the teaching of compulsory course 2 human geography that the teachers play the single role but the students just passively listen.In order to implement the concept and require meats of curriculum reform,exert students’ principal action and transform the teacher’ role from a master to a guidance,the teachers in our school should have a correct view of the “activity” column set by teaching material,we should try to tap and make the best of its important function of teaching and inspire the autonomous.learning,cooperative learning and inquiry learning of students,and finally improve the effectiveness of the Human Geography teaching.From this perspective in this paper,we research the teaching strategies of active columns in the PEP edition of High School Geography Compulsory Course 2.The main contents of the article:First,analyze the activities that appear in the Geography Compulsory course 2 of Senior High School.According to the contents and features of the “activity” column itself and former studies,the author divides the activities in the column into different categories,which are on the basis of cleaving the contents type and features of activity.Second,explore the teaching strategy of different types of activities by combining the present teaching situation and students’ situation in our school with the relevant theories of pedogocpy and psychology.The main conclusions are as follows: Firstly,the “activity” sub-topics in the “activity” column of compulsory course 2 are divided into 4 categories,material analysis activity,chart analysis activity,elaboration of perspective activity,calculate activity and so on.Secondly,the author puts forward the teaching strategies of each kind of “activity” from the teacher level.Specifically: material class “activity”--information cognitive processing strategyand classification processing strengthening strategy;chart analysis activity--to organize the classroom dialogue strategy;elaboration of perspective activity—practicalactivitiesteaching strategy;calculate activity--problem decomposition strategy.In the end,reflect on the problems which exist in the teaching process of the “activity” column.First,teachers should rectify students’ cognition of the “activity” column.Second,because the class period is very tense,and the “activity” column costs a lot of time,teachers should make a balance between them.Third,in the beaching process of the column teachers shouldn’t apply the teaching strategies mechanically on the contrary,teachers should use the teaching strategies creatively basing on the specific contents of the “activity”,students’ characteristics,the personal features of teachers and so on.Besides,the author put forwardfour suggestion on how to use the teaching strategies of the “activity” column: pay attention to stimulating the student’s affective system;design the activity process elaborately instead of just designing simply for the activity itself;inherit and develop the teaching methods;strengthen the professional development of teachers. |
