| The Geography Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)clarifies that regional cognition is an important way of thinking for students to learn geography.Under the guidance of the "double reduction" policy,geography homework as an effective way of classroom evaluation needs to be optimized.In the actual teaching of regional geography,junior high school students tend to memorize geographical knowledge points,neglect the method of mastering regional cognition,and front-line teachers lack scientific and effective strategic guidance when designing geography homework.In domestic and foreign research,there are few research results on the design of geography homework in junior high schools based on regional cognitive ability training,and many studies do not involve the latest junior high school geography curriculum standards.Therefore,this paper first analyzes the relevant connotation of regional cognition,then combines the requirements of junior high school geography curriculum standards and the current situation of Qingdao teachers’ students’ cognition of regional geography homework,and finally forms a junior high school geography homework design strategy based on regional cognitive ability training,which helps teachers to effectively cultivate students’ regional cognitive ability by using geography homework.This paper uses literature reading method to sort out the research status of regional cognition and geography operations at home and abroad,and discusses the necessity of design strategies for geography operations in junior high schools based on regional cognitive ability cultivation.Based on the analysis of regional cognitive connotation,this paper formulates the level of cognitive ability performance in the geographical area of junior high school,which is convenient for teachers to determine the level of regional cognitive ability when designing homework objectives.This paper takes three junior high schools in Shinan District,Qingdao as the research object,studies a number of geography teachers through interview method and questionnaire survey method,counts 7th and 8th grade students through questionnaire survey,and summarizes the problems of geography homework in junior high school in cultivating regional cognitive ability:(1)Most teachers and students agree on the importance of regional geography homework,teachers choose more exercise-based homework,and some students expect teachers to design different types of homework to activate their body and mind.(2)Most teachers lack the guidance of scientific design strategies and experience in self-designed homework,and most students have needs for interesting homework content,clear homework task requirements,and intuitive homework feedback;(3)In terms of the current situation of regional cognitive ability training,teachers and students are more familiar with describing regional locations and analyzing the characteristics of regional geographical elements,and pay less attention to regional connections,differences and development.Combining basic education theories such as "mastery learning" theory,"learning by doing" theory and geography teaching theory,this paper formulates the following junior high school geography homework design strategies for cultivating regional cognitive ability: study geography course standards,analysis level;Consider the differences and determine the job objectives;Pay attention to life interests and choose homework materials;Clarify the ability requirements and divide the work tasks;Pay attention to personalized feedback and set up assignment evaluations.According to this strategy,three types of geography operation improvement strategies are proposed:exercise evaluation,drawing and mapping,and practical inquiry.This paper uses practical research methods to design different types of junior high school geography homework cases based on regional cognitive ability cultivation,including the exercise assessment homework focusing on the regional geography review of junior high school,the mind mapping assignment of the "Japan" lesson,the mapping homework with the theme of "I Love School",and the practical assignment to investigate the biological resources of Qingdao clams.According to the feedback of homework cases,these specific homework design strategies have a guiding effect on the homework design of front-line teachers,optimize the homework design concept,and enrich the cultivation of regional cognitive ability. |
