A Study On The Framework Of The Coverage Of Large-scale Sports Events In People’s Daily

In the 2022 Winter Olympics,China once again became the focus of the world,and the People’s Daily successfully completed the relevant reporting tasks.Compared to the previous two Winter Olympics,the reporting framework is more comprehensive and complete.Selecting the news reports of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics,2018 Pingchang Winter Olympics,and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics from the People’s Daily as the research objects,based on the framework theory,the content analysis method is mainly used,and the reporting framework of the three Winter Olympics is studied using the high-level and low-level framework theory of Taiwanese scholar Zang Guoren.By conducting statistical analysis on the number,layout,items,and format of coverage for the three Winter Olympics.It has been found that there are significant differences in the number of reports,the layout of reports is becoming increasingly diverse,the reporting projects are more balanced and comprehensive,and the reporting forms are developing towards diversification.Starting from the framework theory of high,middle,and low levels,this study investigates the theme,structure,and discourse framework of the three Winter Olympics held by the People’s Daily.In terms of reporting topics,be rich and comprehensive,and pay attention to the dynamics of the competition;In terms of reporting structure,emphasis should be placed on reporting on "major events";In terms of reporting discourse,firstly,the use of words is concise and of high quality,with obvious metaphorical use.Secondly,news headlines are good at using rhetorical devices,reducing the amount of "medal" information.Finally,in terms of expression,attention is paid to detail description and portraying character images.After research and analysis,it was found that the reporting framework for the three Winter Olympics has both continuity and a certain degree of change and innovation.The structural framework and thematic framework have been continued,both focusing on reporting on major events and putting people first,using rich themes to shape a good national image.In terms of the overall reporting framework and discourse framework,there have been changes and innovations.Firstly,the focus has become more comprehensive and the layout has been innovated.Secondly,the reporting format has changed to shape sports stars.Afterwards,the author analyzed the reasons for the continuation,changes,and innovation of the reporting framework based on the practical background.The reasons for the continuation include: firstly,the continuation of the inherent characteristics of official media;The second is the sustainability of national policies.The reasons for changes and innovations include: firstly,changes in sports concepts;secondly,the development of media integration.Reflect on the entire reporting process,summarize the areas that need to be reflected during the reporting process,and summarize four points of experience.One is to focus on key points,attach importance to reporting major events,and pay attention to "people";The second is to seize the opportunity,leverage the attention of the competition,and seize the voice of public opinion;The third is to focus on overall and comprehensive reporting,actively seeking transformation and development;Fourthly,we need to focus on language,lower our figure,and bring readers closer together.
