| With the continuous development of mental health education in primary and secondary schools,mental health teachers have gradually appeared in the public ’s vision.They not only serve as psychological teachers,but also play the role of psychological counselors,and even undertake administrative work.Based on this situation,the role of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools is vague.This can easily lead to a decrease in their enthusiasm for work,low sense of professional achievement,job burnout,occupational health hazards,and reduced sense of thriving at work.This study starts with the boundaryless career of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools,explores the influence mechanism of boundaryless career on thriving at work,introduces two variables of competency and perceived organizational support,and explores whether there is a chain mediating effect between boundaryless career and thriving at work,which provides a new perspective for promoting the occupational health of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools.In this study," Boundaryless Career Scale"," Competency Questionnaire for Primary and Secondary School Mental Health Teachers"," Perceived Organizational Support" and "Thriving at Work Scale" were used to investigate 351 primary and secondary school mental health teachers.Excluding invalid questionnaires and a total of 323 valid questionnaires were collected to process.The survey results are as follows :(1)The boundaryless career of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools has significant differences in gender,education,full-time and part-time,honor,first major and professional title.(2)The competency of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools has significant differences in age,honor,working years and professional titles of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools.(3)Primary and secondary school mental health teachers ’ perceived organizational support has significant differences in gender,education,full-time and part-time,working years,the first major and title.(4)Primary and secondary school mental health teachers ’ thriving at work in have significant differences in age,teaching period,honor,working years and professional title.(5)There is a significant positive correlation between boundaryless career,competency,perceived organizational support and thriving at work.(6)The mediating effect of competency between boundaryless career and thriving at work is significant.The mediating effect of perceived organizational support between boundaryless career and thriving at work is significant.The chain mediating effect of competency and perceived organizational support between boundaryless career and thriving at work is significant.Based on the above results,this study starts from the two parts of mental health teachers who teaches in primary and secondary school and employment organizations,and provides inspiration and suggestions for improving the thriving at work.At its own level,strive to adapt to the changing working environment,and unremittingly improve their own competency.In terms of employment organizations,give strong organizational support,providing diversified development space and promotion mechanism,in order to improve thriving at work and achieve a virtuous cycle of development of teachers. |
