| Unit teaching enables interdisciplinary communication to improve teaching effectiveness and can effectively avoid fragmentation of language learning and content.Unit teaching is revitalized in the context of adapting to the new curriculum era and the need to cultivate core literacy.Unit teaching in the context of the new curriculum is based on building a framework of learning task clusters,sorting out and integrating high-quality educational resources,promoting the language curriculum back to its essence,and enabling students to meet the requirements of the new era more effectively.The author studied modern prose based on unit teaching in the Ministry of Education’s version of high school language textbooks with the compulsory upper book of unit 7 as an example,trying to provide a new teaching idea for modern prose teaching.This paper is based on the concept of unit teaching,and uses the seventh unit of modern prose in Compulsory 1 of the Ministry of Education’s high school language to study,trying to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of this.This article is divided into four parts,firstly,the analysis of the theoretical basis of the unit teaching and the characteristics of the teaching materials,and secondly,the investigation of the current situation of modern prose teaching in the actual language classroom,which shows that the current educational environment focuses on the entrance examination and the serious culture of teaching to the test;the teachers’ mastery of the unit teaching is not high and the students’ acceptance of the unit teaching is low.Based again on the curriculum standards and teaching materials,the general principles of modern prose teaching are proposed: updating the concept,implementing quality education,comprehensive analysis,clarifying teaching objectives,flexible use,optimizing the teaching process and diversification,optimizing teaching evaluation.At the teacher level,motivating teachers to implement units and improving their ability to integrate unit teaching are proposed,and at the student level,teaching strategies to improve students’ ability to cooperate and investigate and to enhance independent thinking are proposed,with a view to promoting the overall improvement of students’ core literacy.Finally,the author uses the Ministry of Education’s version of the high school language compulsory first book of the seventh unit of modern prose for teaching design and reflects on the teaching design. |
