In October 2020,The General Office of the State Council issued Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Physical Education in the New Era,which clearly stated that "School physical education has a unique function in carrying forward the socialist core values,cultivating students’ patriotism,collectivism,socialist spirit,and will quality of striving and tenacious struggle,so as to realize sports people." However,the traditional emphasis on professional skills teaching still exists in rural junior middle school physical education,which runs counter to the original intention of teaching and education.Curriculum ideology and politics is an important measure to solve the problem of education.Schools should make good use of the classroom teaching channel,integrate ideological and political education into physical education,and implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people.On the basis of literature research,this study takes the current situation of ideological and political implementation in rural junior middle school physical education curriculum as the basis,adopts literature data method to study the current situation of ideological and political development in curriculum at home and abroad,and defines the concepts of ideological and political development in curriculum and physical education curriculum.Taiqian County was selected as the research area by questionnaire survey,interview,field observation and other research methods.The current situation of 9 rural junior high schools was investigated,and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)Some school leaders pay less attention to the ideological and political implementation of the curriculum.The school management’s organizational guarantee for curriculum ideological and political reform is weak,physical education teachers and teachers are weak,teachers tend to be younger,and master’s degree teachers are relatively scarce.(2)Teachers and students have a good understanding of ideological and political thinking in PE courses.94.74% of PE teachers have a preliminary understanding of curriculum ideology and politics,and most students are interested in implementing curriculum ideology and politics in PE teaching,and believe that it is necessary to integrate ideological and political education into PE teaching.(3)Taiqian County rural junior middle school physical education curriculum ideological and political development situation is good.84.21% of PE teachers often carry out ideological and political education in class,and believe that PE curriculum ideological and political education can cultivate students’ innovative spirit,rules awareness,self-esteem,confidence and love for the collective and other fine qualities.(4)The effect of ideological and political implementation in PE curriculum is not good.In the process of the implementation of ideological and political education in physical education curriculum,physical education teachers simplify the content of ideological and political education involved in textbooks,and integrate the content of ideological and political education with the professional skills and knowledge of physical education.78.95% of PE teachers mainly use teaching method to carry out ideological and political thinking in the course of teaching,and the teaching method containing ideological and political content is relatively simple;Most teachers pay attention to students’ physical quality and ignore the evaluation of ideological and moral cultivation in PE classroom learning evaluation,teaching evaluation is mainly teacher evaluation,lack of student evaluation.(5)Optimization strategy of ideological and political implementation of rural junior middle school physical education curriculum: strengthen school leadership,strengthen top-level design;Renew teaching idea,enhance curriculum ideological and political consciousness;Integrate teaching content and dig ideological and political resources deeply in PE teaching materials;Innovating teaching methods to improve classroom effect;Perfect teaching evaluation,pay attention to the diversification of evaluation.
