| China is a unified multi-ethnic country,and attaching importance to ethnic unity and progress education is an excellent tradition in our country.In the new era,the state has put forward new requirements on how to promote ethnic unity and progress education.As a base for cultivating talents,schools are essential positions for ethnic unity and progress education.Due to its disciplinary characteristics,the history subject contains abundant teaching resources for ethnic unity and progress education.Therefore,the history subject bears the heavy responsibility of ethnic unity and progress education.Integrating ethnic unity and progress education into junior high school history teaching helps guide students in establishing a correct ethnic perspective and values.In the cause of ethnic unity and progress education,secondary school history teaching plays a vital role.Although teachers are dedicated to implementing ethnic unity and progress education,and junior high school students generally have a sense of pride in the Chinese nation,there are still challenges such as insufficient theoretical literacy of teachers,incomplete mastery of ethnic knowledge by students,teaching methods needing improvement,difficulty in integrating educational resources,and fewer related school activities.In response to these issues,this study proposes an optimized path for junior high school history teaching practice of ethnic unity and progress education based on previous research and internship experience: improving teachers’ theoretical literacy in ethnic unity and progress education,effectively integrating teaching resources for ethnic unity and progress education,optimizing the integration of "teaching" and "learning" in ethnic unity and progress education,and expanding channels for ethnic unity and progress education.Finally,based on the optimization path,a teaching design is provided for the textbook "The Coexistence of Liao,Xixia,and Northern Song" in the seventh-grade lower volume of the National Edition Junior High School History Textbook,serving as a practical reference for teachers.In summary,secondary school history teaching should leverage its disciplinary advantages and incorporate ethnic unity and progress education in daily teaching.This will cultivate students’ patriotism and core literacy and help students gain a deeper understanding of the development process of the Chinese nation,enhance their sense of national pride and self-confidence,identify with Chinese culture,and work together towards the goal of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. |
