Unity of multi-ethnic coexistence is China's basic national conditions.The development of national relations and the proper handling of national issues directly affect national unity,social harmony and stability,and the happiness of people of all ethnic groups.The teaching of ethnic history has an irreplaceable role in the history teaching of middle schools.It plays a significant role in cultivating students to form a scientific concept of ethnicity,and to cultivate students' sense of national identity,belonging,and national unity.The purpose of this article is to use the Chinese and foreign history outlines of the People's Education Edition as reference materials and the content of ethnic history as the research object,to study the significance of ethnic history teaching in middle schools,and to explore how middle school ethnic history teaching can better play the role of strengthening national unity.Meet each other,present a complete teaching design about the history of ethnic history,with a view to providing reference for the teaching of ethnic history in middle schools.This article has the following six parts:The first part is the introduction,which briefly describes the background and basis of the topic,the purpose and significance of the topic,the current research status,the research method of the topic,and the innovation.The second part discusses the significance of teaching national history from different perspectives.The third part analyzes the content and distribution structure of ethnic history in the Outline of Chinese and Foreign History,understands the compiling concepts and principles of the Outline of Chinese and Foreign History,and studies the strategies for teaching history of ethnic minority in the history of middle schools at this stage.The fourth part explores and analyzes how to better play the role of strengthening national unity in the teaching of ethnic history in middle schools by consulting the monographs and literature related to the content of ethnic history and combining the knowledge of ethnic history in the undergraduate and master's studies.The fifth part compiles teaching cases.Through the specific teaching design,the teaching philosophy of ethnic history teaching should be explained.The sixth part is the conclusion.
