Students’ ability to raise questions is one of the seven elements of scientific inquiry abilities,and cultivating students’ questioning ability is an important new task for educators.On the basis of the existing literature,combined with the current situation investigation of students’ questioning ability in my teaching process,it can be found that in physics teaching few students take the initiative to raise questions with weak questioning awareness and insufficient questioning ability.In the process of physics teaching,teachers should cultivate students’ ability to raise,think and solve questions,but teachers often neglect the cultivation of students’ ability to raise questions.Therefore,it is very necessary to explore how to stimulate students’ questioning awareness and improve their questioning ability in physics teaching.This paper focuses on " questioning ability ",tries to construct a teaching model that cultivates students’ questioning ability with the help of literature research method,questionnaire survey method,practical research method,etc.,and actively explores feasible strategies to cultivate students’ questioning ability in the teaching process.Meanwhile,a questionnaire tool for ability measurement is developed.In the process of teaching practice for half a year,the measurement results are quantified with the help of PAT scales which is scientific and in line with the students’ actual situation to test the effect of relevant teaching models and cultivating strategies on improving students’ questioning ability.The main conclusions are as follows:With PAT scale of raising questions as the measurement basis,the "situation-question" teaching model and related strategies constructed in this study can stimulate students’ awareness of raising questions;enhance students’ ability to transform questions into explorable physics questions;improve students’ ability to express questions,that is,effectively improve students’ questioning ability in the practical teaching process.
