Under the background of the educational reform of "new curriculum standard,new textbooks and new college entrance examination" in ordinary senior high schools in China,the cultivation of students’ scientific spiritual accomplishment has become a hot issue of general concern in the field of ideological and political subjects.As one of the four core qualities of ideological and political discipline,scientific spirit is the basic condition to help students form political identity,awareness of the rule of law and public participation,and the vivid core to highlight the educational value of ideological and political course,which is an important part of developing the core qualities of ideological and political discipline in senior high school.Scientific spirit runs through Marxist standpoint,viewpoint and methodology,guiding students to form dialectical thinking quality and correct behavior practice in understanding and transforming the world,and guiding senior high school ideological and political courses to excavate scientific truth and reform teaching methods.Scientific spirit is indispensable for ideological and political courses in senior high schools in the new era.It is an important support to realize the curriculum objectives of ideological and political courses,cultivate students’ valuable spiritual wealth in scientific thinking,and provide talent reserves for China to implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education.Based on the cultivation of scientific spirit,this paper focuses on the ideological and political teachers and high school students,and under the support of the relevant theories of scientific spirit at home and abroad,through reading a large number of references,using questionnaires,teacher interviews and case analysis,this paper investigates and analyzes the present situation of scientific spirit cultivation of high school students.It is found that high school students’ cognition of scientific spirit has been enhanced in the process of grade growth,and teachers have achieved certain results in cultivating scientific spirit.At the same time,there are also some problems in the cultivation of scientific spirit,such as cognitive concepts,teaching methods,effectiveness and teaching evaluation,which hinder the ideological and political courses in senior high schools from giving full play to the unique value of scientific spirit.How to cultivate students’ scientific spirit in ideological and political courses in senior high schools is a realistic problem worthy of our in-depth thinking and exploration.This paper probes into the excellent and effective ways to cultivate the scientific spirit of ideological and political courses in senior high schools from three levels.Change the traditional ideas of teachers and students at the cognitive level,enhance the cognition of scientific spirit,break students’ solidified thinking and temper students’ rational thinking;Change the traditional teaching methods at the behavioral level,guide students to seek truth from facts,study scientific classics and master scientific methods;Follow the basic laws of teaching at the literacy level and cultivate students’ correct values.Under the multi-angle,multi-directional and multi-level cultivation strategy,the teaching practice of cultivating students’ scientific spirit in senior high school ideological and political course is more and more effective.
