In recent years,China has attached great importance to national security education,and the Party clearly proposed in the 19 th National Congress the task of national security education in schools at all levels nationwide.The subject of geography is rich in national security content and has the unique advantage of carrying out national security awareness education.To carry out national security awareness education in high school geography teaching is necessary to maintain national security in the new era,to implement the core literacy of geography,and to help high school students grow and become successful.However,it has been found that the current effect of national security awareness education in high school geography is not satisfactory.Therefore,it is of certain practical significance to dig deeper into the national security awareness education content contained in high school geography teaching,explore the current teaching status,and propose national security awareness education strategies for high school geography.Firstly,this paper uses the literature research method to discuss the necessity and feasibility of national security awareness education in high school geography teaching,and sorts out the national security awareness education content in the new Humanities version of high school geography textbook.Secondly,the current situation of national security awareness education in high school geography teaching is investigated and analyzed by using questionnaire survey method,and the problems of national security awareness education in high school geography teaching are summarized.Again,the strategies to be followed in national security awareness education in high school geography teaching are proposed by combining the questionnaire survey results with relevant teaching theories.Finally,the relevant teaching cases were designed,and the teaching cases were practically implemented and their effects were measured in high school geography classrooms.The conclusions of this study are as follows.1.The questionnaire survey shows that most teachers and students can recognize the importance of national security awareness education,and are willing to participate in national security awareness education through various ways and means.However,there are still many problems in teaching,one is that schools and teachers do not pay enough attention to national security awareness education,two is that teachers and students do not know enough about national security,three is that teaching methods and approaches are relatively single,four is that teaching resources are single and content provision is insufficient,five is that teaching evaluation lacks rationality,and six is that high school geography national security awareness education is constrained by traditional examination-based education.2.In response to the problems found in the survey,this paper proposes corresponding implementation strategies in terms of teaching participants,teaching methods,teaching resources and teaching evaluation.In terms of teaching participants,it includes: raising the importance of national security awareness education in schools,improving geography teachers’ requirements for themselves,strengthening geography teachers’ training related to national security awareness education,and raising students’ awareness of independent learning;in terms of teaching methods,it proposes using diversified teaching methods with interesting features,such as geography investigation method,life-based teaching method and case study teaching method;in terms of teaching resources,it proposes In terms of teaching resources,it is proposed that the teaching materials should be used to dig deeper into the internal resources of national security awareness education,and the extra-curricular resources of national security awareness education should be integrated with the help of living resources;in terms of teaching evaluation,it is proposed that the evaluation subjects of national security awareness education should be diversified,and the dimensions and methods of national security awareness education should be diversified.3.Putting the teaching strategy into practice,we designed the section of "Environmental pollution and national security" in the selective compulsory 3 of geography in high school,and applied the teaching case in the teaching practice to evaluate the effect of the paper quiz and questionnaire survey.The results of the paper quizzes and questionnaires show that national security awareness education in high school geography teaching can effectively mobilize students’ learning enthusiasm and improve the learning efficiency of geography classroom;through the case teaching method and group cooperation method,students’ subjectivity and initiative can be effectively brought into play.
