Research On Safety Risk Management Of Trail Running Events In Zhejiang Province

With the rapid development of my country’s urban marathon in recent years,its "spillover effect" has also driven the development of advanced events such as cross-country running and ultra-marathon.It is of great significance to identify and evaluate the possible risks and take corresponding measures to improve the safety level of the competition through the risk management research on cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province.This paper collects and organizes the risk sources and risk factors of cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province,compiles a risk checklist and a risk assessment form,and invites relevant sports event risk management scholars and cross-country running event managers to fill in the assessment form.The cross-country running event managers in Zhejiang Province can use the checklist to easily and quickly identify risks and propose implementable countermeasures.Finally,the risk checklist was implemented in the 2022 KALAS MOGAN ULTRA Trail Running Race,and the risk check results were compared.The main conclusions are as follows:1.This study classifies and summarizes the risk sources of cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province,and divides the identification of risks into three categories: personnel risk,material risk and environmental risk.Participants,organization managers,other staff,facilities,tools,Ten sub-categories of technical equipment,animals and plants,food and water sources,natural environment,social environment and other risk factors.Through the expert interview method and literature method,the "Zhejiang Cross-country Running Event Risk Checklist" was compiled,which further improved the risk management system of Zhejiang Provincial Cross-country Running Event.2.Through the list sorting method and the risk matrix diagram method,the summarized data is formed into a chart,and the risk amount of each risk is sorted to determine the size of the risk amount and the level of the risk factor.It is found that among the three types of risk factors in cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province,the biggest source of risk is environmental risk,followed by personnel risk and material risk.3.Among the ten sub-categories of risk factors in cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province,five of them are high-risk,namely: natural environment,participants,organization managers,facilities and tools,and other personnel;three of them are medium-risk,namely : Food and water sources,social environment and other risks,the lower ones are technical equipment and animal and plant factors.4.The risk response methods in the cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province include risk avoidance,risk transfer,risk control and risk retention.These methods are used to reduce risks and losses to ensure the smooth progress of the event.5.Taking the 2022 KALAS MOGAN ULTRA Trail Running Race as a case study,the risk management method of this study is used to effectively analyze the risk factors of the 2022 KALAS MOGAN ULTRA Trail Running Race.Identify and analyze the elements of risk management for the 2022 KALAS MOGAN ULTRA Trail Running Race.From the perspective of risk response,specific strategies are proposed for personnel risk,material risk and environmental risk.Based on the above research,the following recommendations are made:1.In order to better strengthen the risk management of cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province,it is necessary to focus on the actual local conditions,strengthen the collection and arrangement of data,and accelerate the establishment of a risk management system for cross-country running events in Zhejiang Province.2.The government should improve the relevant laws,regulations and normative documents of the cross-country running industry,clarify the safety standards and management requirements of cross-country running events;strengthen the supervision and guidance of event organizers to ensure that they organize and manage events in accordance with regulations.3.Industry associations need to strengthen the training,education and qualification review of cross-country running event management personnel,continuously improve the "Safety Guidelines for Cross-country Race Organizations in Zhejiang Province",improve the risk management level of Zhejiang Province cross-country running event management personnel,and strengthen the organization committee of the event.Risk awareness and the ability to control risks ensure the personal safety of participants.4.The supervisors of cross-country running events should reasonably summarize practical experience,scientifically and real-time assess event risks during the running of the event,and improve the ability to respond to emergencies.In order to achieve more efficient risk management and solve risk problems more effectively,the risk checklist should be continuously improved and refined according to the scale and characteristics of cross-country running events.5.Participants should establish safety awareness,actively participate in qualified field first aid and safety management training,and systematically learn relevant safety first aid knowledge.
