| In recent years,the topic of depressive mood among college students has attracted widespread attention in society.While the individual experience of depressive mood among college students is a personal matter,it becomes a social issue when it frequently occurs on college campuses.This study focuses on the relationship between college students’ fitness literacy and depressive mood,using methods such as questionnaire surveys and interviews to conduct a sample survey of full-time college students in Shanghai universities,to understand the basic status of college students’ fitness literacy and depression,explore the impact of college students’ fitness literacy on depression and the underlying mechanisms,and propose specific means to adjust college students’ depression.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)College students’ fitness literacy,including their fitness attitude and skills,is generally good,with an overall score slightly above average.However,their knowledge of fitness is relatively low compared to the other two aspects,leaving room for further improvement.The main characteristics of college students’ fitness behavior are diversified project selection,moderate frequency of fitness,low duration of fitness,moderate intensity,low overall intensity,and low monthly fitness expenditure.(2)There are significant differences in the scores of college students’ fitness knowledge,behavior,and skills among students with different health conditions.(3)The detection rate of depression among college students is high.There are significant differences in depression scores among students in different grades,hometowns,and health conditions.(4)Multiple linear regression analysis found that fitness knowledge,behavior,skills,and attitude in fitness literacy all have a significant negative impact on depression,indicating the important role of fitness in adjusting college students’ depression.(5)Mediation analysis found that college students’ health condition partially mediates the relationship between fitness literacy and depression.That is,college students’ fitness attitude and skills can adjust the level of depression by influencing their health condition.Based on the above findings,this study proposes the following countermeasures and suggestions:(1)Develop a series of fitness literacy courses to systematically improve the fitness literacy level of college students.According to the health and fitness literacy status of our students,systematically teach fitness knowledge and regularly organize practical learning of fitness skills.(2)Regularly monitor the depressive mood level of college students and establish a depressive mood risk screening system in colleges and universities.The prerequisite of depressive mood adjustment is the monitoring and identification of depressive mood,followed by timely feedback of monitoring results to individual college students in an appropriate way for targeted interventions.(3)The gateway to depressive mood prevention is front-loaded with customized exercise prescriptions.Targeted exercise prescriptions can improve college students’ fitness literacy and health status to prevent or slow down the generation and development of depressive mood(4)Develop college sports and fitness communities to release the emotional adjustment effect of fitness.By participating in sports and fitness communities,college students can weaken their excessive self-centeredness and rebuild interpersonal connections,while enhancing their fitness literacy,improving their health status,and increasing their resilience against depressive mood. |
