Breast cancer is one of the major malignant tumor which is a threat to human health and the life. In recent years, the incidence of breast cancer has increased year by year. The international agency for cancer research of the World Health Organization had a report showed that the breast cancer had been the first female cancer in the worldwide in their last issue. Although breast cancer therapy and rehabilitative level of medication science has been rising at present, but it tends to focus only on patients’ physiological demand and ignore the psychological demand. According to the survey, patients with different degree of negative emotions, anxiety and depression have been hit the hardest among them. These negative emotions will influence the patients’treatment effect and there quality of life. Therefore, how to reduce and eliminate the breast cancer patients’ negative emotions is increasingly received extensive attention of the medical profession and the public.This study was guided by SAT theory and carried out comprehensive social work services in the number one mammary clinical department of Y hospital. Services were given priority to case work and community educational activities. The purpose was guiding breast cancer patients’negative emotions which were ignored by the medical system, improving patients’consciousness of the importance to their psychological situation and using specific methods which were learned through activities in patients’ daily life by the intervention of social work. The study found that social work services indeed can alleviate patients’ depression in a certain extent by face to face interviews, surveys and a variety of services carried out while the internship. The author based on these to discuss the cause of the depression and main performance of breast cancer patients. At the same time, experience and proposals on social work are concluded in order to offer more efficient services.
